Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Dortmund should have demanded a lot more than that.
They did that last summer and interested clubs laughed at them and moved on.

The question is if BVB want to sell or not.

Between this lot and VVD, it seems like Liverpool really mean business this summer
We've been linked with big names before and ended up with nothing - it's exciting to read of course, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Absolutely hate everything about Real Madrid. Just wish they would fall off a cliff into oblivion. I don't care who we buy but I just hope that we don't cave in with De Gea to those crooks.

Supposedly the players and manager don't want him. They are all behind Navas. That is showing good loyalty to their teammate. Which could be why they want so much for Morata?

That's good. They can just feck off then.

Certainly looking like they are cooling on De Gea if things written are to be believed. The prices being banded around are quite staggering really. Football will eventually implode.....or teams will increasingly need to develop their own world class players!!

This is probably for another thread. Don't reward young players too early, reward them for success but show patience. Too many kids with too big pay packets and no sense of ambition. They should show them clips of Ronaldo over and over again. He is a great example of wanting to get better and better and the reward then come to you.

So We'd have to spend £100m to get Belotti, Madrid won't part with Morata (or will want close to £80m) but Aubameyang is off for £70m? How do these mega-rich clubs get these deals?

I don't know if there's any truth to it, but it certainly feels like our club gets taken for a ride more than most.

Because they don't have to pay the added "English clubs" tax with the "Man Utd" tax as an added bonus.

Don't believe every Tweet you read guys. Papers and journos have to earn money via clicks.

With that being said - Belotti. Is he any good or is that a silly question here?

I don't know what exactly the reasons are, but if we spend a pound over €70 for any forward bar Kane and Greizmann, it will be fecking embarrassing. Aren't PSG known for their riches? Fecking €70 for Aubameyang? Where were we in that deal? Bidding €60 for Real Madrid's rejects. Whoever is pulling the strings on those transfers better get a grip on.

What a clueless article. Other than telling us that he's so versatile I don't read anything else. We've made a remarkable advance. So what is the remarkable advance?!

We've made a remarkable advance in the Lukaku negotiations. He's a great striker and he would fit every other team that wants to have a good striker - There, I can be a journo too.

That Nolito quote is amazing!

honestly, I dont know why any of our clubs bother going for these Hispanic/Mediterrernean players. They 'ucking hate it over here, they only want the cash and they're looking for an escape route to warmer climates all the time.

Yep, those Mata, Herrera, D.Silva, Aguero, Valencia etc. etc. types... They never settle, they never last.

Given the figures bandied about for the likes of Lukaku, Morata, Belotti, Mbappe, etc. -- Auba at 70m seems like a bargain.
It does indeed. If he does go there then suddenly Cavani maybe a worthwhile option.

I know he is 30 and people bang on about how many chances he needs but everything about him screams Mourinho #9.

'Perez knows the Madrid dressing room thinks highly of Keylor Navas. So goodbye to de Gea.'

Article goes on to say Florentino has spoken to key figures in the squad who all support Navas fully and want him to remain as the no. 1, meaning the club will not look to sign de Gea or any other keeper this summer.

That's actually the sort of story that comes out of Spain when they give up on a signing. Perez asking players how tjey feel about a signing, yeah right

Can't agree with that. Herrera, Mata and De Gea have been exemplary professionals whilst David Silva has been for City. We have had issues with some Argentinians in the past but Rojo, Romero and Aguero and Zabaleta for City haven't complained a jot.
