Can't agree with that. Herrera, Mata and De Gea have been exemplary professionals whilst David Silva has been for City. We have had issues with some Argentinians in the past but Rojo, Romero and Aguero and Zabaleta for City haven't complained a jot.

Even the Argies we had issues with were not really related to the area, except perhaps Di Maria.

Verona left for footballing reasons, and stayed within the country, Tevez stayed within Manchester and Heinze initially wanted to move to Liverpool.

Looking for a compromise with Portuguese club if they can't reach a compromise with Italian club...yeah that will work.
The only thing that works in our favour is Martins has a release clause and Bayern can't wait to be shot of Costa. Still it seems like we massively struggle to get deals done where there isn't a straightforward release clause and price. I want Salah over all of them can't see us spending big on two wingers.

'Perez knows the Madrid dressing room thinks highly of Keylor Navas. So goodbye to de Gea.'

Article goes on to say Florentino has spoken to key figures in the squad who all support Navas fully and want him to remain as the no. 1, meaning the club will not look to sign de Gea or any other keeper this summer.

Perez sure understands how to use the press to try and further his aims: lower the value of worldclass keeper De Gea, and raise the value of his surplus bench striker Morata. Is he writing all these articles himself?

He probably tells his lackey Balague what to share with the media, whilst Balague polishes Perez's shoes.

You honestly believe that Liverpool will pay up those 60 million Sporting wants for Martins?

They want more than 50m though (apparently)
Theres a point at which giving rashford or martial a chance just becomes a more sensible approach to the problem
and spending 100m on belotti, lukaku or morata is it imo.

Try dig up a bargain instead, they exist.

I agree with you. I'm just saying these prices will become 'normal' sooner than later with all the money being made.

It's true. Sunderland just made £99.9 this season for being one of the worst teams ever to play in the Premier League. A decade ago, one of the best United sides in history made less than half of that for winning the league.

It'll be considerably less than that. 50million euros is the rumoured starting negotiation price. Still he's a really raw player so unless we were getting him in addition to Salah I'd rather we just paid the cash for him. Can see there dragging out for another month at least.

I think Sunderland earned £93.5m this year, which is more than bayern munich, juventus and monaco earned for winning their respective leagues. Crazy stuff.

Supposedly the players and manager don't want him. They are all behind Navas. That is showing good loyalty to their teammate. Which could be why they want so much for Morata?

Its tick-for-tack. They know (roughly) how much United want for De Gea and they want to get that back with Morata even though he's not worth that much.

:eek::eek:

Seriously though, how many years do people think he has left at the level he plays at?
Given how well he takes care of himself I think he could do a Zlatan and play to 35 / 36 but with his impact lessening. Would love to see him back here to close out his career but no way for 180 mil.

Imo, his abilities in general and overall impact throughout games is already declining. As a goalscorer, I think he can stay at this level for 3/4 more years if he looks after himself (which he'll proably do). It's not just his on the field performances that count though, he's one of the top five most well-known athletes in the world as well.
