Why? How would the club win in that scenario? We can just give him more money without extending his contract. Everyone wins. He deserves 50k a week raise.
None of them are worth anything like that kind of money while we're performing like a bottom half side.Bruno looks after himself. He’s worth the new deal. He’s the only one at the club actually worth that kind of money and everyone is squabbling over it in typical Utd fashion
This. The club is under zero pressure to sell or renew his contract. Giving him an improved contract right now would be an extremely Woodward-esque move.He signed an improved deal two years ago, his original United contract ran until 2025.
Current one has 3 years to run or another team can pay £100m
Completely agree - it's time to stop throwing so much money away and make players think they can put their feet up.After this window that pay bracket likely won't exist, we shouldn't be recreating it with his contract extension.
What? 8th place finish sides top earner barely will earn 50k, never mind adding 50k to the 200k he already gets.We can just give him more money without extending his contract. Everyone wins. He deserves 50k a week raise.
I would like to see this signing on board if there's significant wiggle room with negotiations.
That's Mainoo and Neves in central midfield which is a statement from INEOS about pioneering the club's future towards youth.

Keep a player happy, from which a lot of things depend in the club. We will release/sell players whose salaries amount to almost $2.000.000 a week, so 50k per week to your start player does not seem like a lot.
I agree, but it's not Bruno's fault that none of the players in defense can stay fit. He has been our best player since he signed for the club, and he has a plethora of players paid more than him. I don't mind him getting more.
These costs add up though, and our finances are not in great shape.Keep a player happy, from which a lot of things depend in the club. We will release/sell players whose salaries amount to almost $2.000.000 a week, so 50k per week to your start player does not seem like a lot.
This incredible way of over-emphasising how bad we actually are to wallow in self pity is beyond boring.None of them are worth anything like that kind of money while we're performing like a bottom half side.
We did though. Our underlying metrics were all in line with those of a lower midtable side. This incredible way of over-emphasising how bad we actually are to wallow in self pity is beyond boring.
We had a shit season but we didn't perform like an Everton for christ sakes.
The statistics comfortably back it up, but yeah if you say so.This incredible way of over-emphasising how bad we actually are to wallow in self pity is beyond boring.

Yes he is. But we're not a charity. He has a contract that he voluntarily signed, with 2+1 years left to run, and we have no reason to alter those terms.Sancho is paid more than him.

Casemiro
all paid more than Bruno. If we’re selling all three players to stop the massive wages and contract nonsense then fair enough. But while he’s here and he’s the captain he should be the highest paid or thereabouts.
He is our best and most important player.
This is exactly how we should handle this, and put a £100m valuation on him, only a team from SA will pay the transfer fee and his wages of £20m per year for 5 years.hope INEOS tells Bruno that no new contract negotiations will be entertained at this stage, they can tell him he is an important player and the club captain and his current deal is good enough, or else, his agent needs to find a buyer who will pay a transfer fee that is acceptable for a player of his stature.
