Transfer Tweets - Manchester United - 2024/25

The desperation of some wanting to follow Barcelona's financial planning when we've seen the issues they have had with Olmo and others every year since they pulled their magic leavers, we need to be sustainable not getting one off bumps so we can sign more players and potentially be in the same place we are now in a year or 2's time

Carrington, to Ineos but I think the spit ownership is what would be holding SJR back because why would he do it for the benefit of the Glazers and other minority shareholders? This is why a partial sale was always bad for us because the new co-owners can't use any creative means to solve serious issues when the other party isn't interested in doing so.
 sums up our owners nicely

So how do we raise money to help PSR then?
By selling rubbish we don’t need like Lindelof, Shaw, Casemiro, Rashford, that also takes a lot of wages off the books. I bet Rashford, Casemiro and Shaw are all earning close to 300k or over. We shouldn’t be selling our best prospects and our most lethal threat in attack.

You call them rubbish and acknowledge they're on high wages, yet expect us to sell them for for enough money that enables us to invest significantly in improving the squad?

There is no selling any of those players though. Best we can hope for is someone pays their wages and even that is a long shot

Firstly because Ineos don't want to pay 300m for that I'd imagine.
Of course not. But the club they own seems to be sweating over PSR going forward and needs a good influx of cash. A somewhat shady stunt like that might be beneficial for the long term. A stand for 300m is obviously a stupid example, but other clubs seem to be rather creative with this kind of shit.

How is that an upgrade? Just keep Garnacho and help him develop. He's still just a kid, ffs!
Dibling at 18 is already a much more rounded player than Garna is at 20, it is not like for like, Dibling offers a completely different set of attributes whether he is worth £55m or not is a different question, IMO Dibling has a much higher ceiling than Garna but he could also be the next Evan Ferguson and drop off a cliff

Only issue is he's out for around 2 weeks.

Lindelof has 4 months left on his contract. Nobody is buying him.

I'd be more worried about him getting homesick as he couldn't hack it at Chelsea, as it was too far away from home.
