Transfer Tweets - Manchester United - 2024/25

Because he’s crap.
Yeah.. I remember watching him play in that youth team game when he came back from injury and he looked like the worst player on the pitch, I was hoping he’d stay there for a bit but he was in the first team the following week

And if we have deep runs in Europa and the FA cup then what, Amorim needs to learn very quickly his system needs at least 1 Quality GK, 4 quality wing backs, 5 Quality Centre backs and 7 quality Midfield options to play in DM/CM/L10AM/R10AM
Currently we have no GK, Maybe 3 CB’s, 1 Wing Back, 3 Midfielders, 1 R10AM and Amad is the Wing back and Right 10, squad needs major surgery.

If we can get £50m for Garnaucho, £25m for Casemiro and loans for Rashford, Mallacia and Antony and actually act like a big club and get 3/4 big players in.

The £50m for Garnaucho is pure 100% PSR profit and would allow us to buy 3 £50m on 3-4 year instalments.

Dream Window :
If United act like a super club, they have 10-12 days to prove it and go get any 3 from this list.
LWB - N Mendes, A Nouri or P Dorgu
CM - D Luis(loan), Y Tilemans, Q Bieleba,
L10/R10 - M Cunha, B Mbeumo , M Rogers, M Gibbs White, A Semenyo
CFW - V Osimhen, E Ferguson, O Watkins, J Duran, J David

We are so poor right now, any of these are huge upgrade on our terrible squad.
You say we can buy 3 £50m players then list a load of players that would cost £70m-£80m, the only player on that list who we could feasible get for under £50 this window are the wing backs, Luiz, and David. All of those would improve us, the rest of your list is complete fantasy fro under £50m.

As exclusively revealed two weeks ago, he’s high on list as Kerkez and Nuno Mendes are still too expensive.
I don’t know enough about Dorgu to judge but it’s very sad to read a sentence like this, that we must negotiate for our 3rd choice because the other 2 (presumably better?!) players are too expensive for us. The real consequence of ‘we can do things in the transfer market others only dream of’.

How we have fallen. Thanks Ed.

Not realistic. And lack of money is not the problem.

Dude, we’d be hard pressed to hope for this in the summer. Total fiction in January.

I’m not convinced we see any incomings before July personally.

It’s the transfer business done since he left that did the real damage - will take five years to fix the calamitous work ETH and Murtough are responsible for

Yet Cheating City are able to do something very much like this and so where Chelsea last January!

United are no longer Britains biggest club but instead a bottom half PL sleeping Giant?

Hey man. Let the guy dream - it’s better than reality currently!
Exactly let’s be clear here, I never expected us to sign even one player because We are no longer an elite club run by elite football Administrators.

SJR and INEOS sold us the lie, and we should have seen through everything from their spin, His track record with Swiss and French teams isn’t exactly stellar now is it?

United was SJR vanity project and he got his dream at Wembley last year, where’s the evidence that INEOS know how to run one of the 5 biggest clubs in Europe?

Sorry but where is the evidence that SJR and INEOS are failing?

They have taken on an absolute train wreck financially, have invested as much as they are allowed, are greenlighting a brand new state of the art 100k seater stadium and sports/leisure village, are investing heavily in Carrington, not to mention the strings they had to pull and deals they had to make to accomplish summer transfers all of which are pretty decent especially compared to the shite we normally over pay for.

The one big error INEOS have made is keeping ETH in the summer

Seriously though what exactly are you expecting of SJR and how do you expect him to do it in the time that he has had capacity to do anything?

Keeping those leeches is the biggest failure

Disagree here. What they sold us was the aspiration, not a lie. Nobody should have been under any illusion that we would immediately scale the heights. Nor can anybody prove INEOS/SJR don’t want us to be perennial PL/CL challengers.
It’s just the situation they found is worse than we thought, and the road back to the top will be longer and bumpier than any of us would like.

Tier 2:

Dortmund are also concerned about Rashford playing in the same position as Jamie Gittens (left wing).

What a post - 'Manchester are exploring something', fecking people get paid to write this shit.
Imagine these guys doing the news
There may be some conflicts in the world.
It may rain in the UK this or next month
The stock market may or may not go up, depending on many things
Trump may do some weird shiyt.

Fecking Romano is becoming just the same. 'Garnacho situation remains open, doors are not closed'. Yeah we know what open means Fabrizio!

Soo.

Another young player from a midtable club in Italy with limited experience, only just starting to get game time on the national league, not our first choice and in a position where we desperately need someone reliable to step in immedeatly.

What could go wrong? And I’m even Danish myself.

I obviously hope I’m terribly wrong, but I just can’t see it tbh. Big, big step up for him.

Before I say it, I don’t believe it for one second, but…

Surely the dream is that we get this lad now then in the summer when we shift more players out we get Kerkez or Nunez as well. We need two there really!

Both are flops but there's not enough spotlight on how shit Murtough was in all of this. In both cases the players were attainable for cheaper and he totally fecked the fee as well as the support for talent identification.
Mount is broken, not a flop. Not his fault his body went on strike. If somehow magically he can be ready to play, he's exactly what this team is crying out for.

Antony is a flop.

Like, if you mount a Broadway show and the critics hate it and the audience stays away in droves - it's a flop. This is like the star of the show breaks their legs and the show is postponed.

I mean the transfer is a flop, I really like the player.

Disagree, he is a flop, he was injury prone, we could have signed for free in 6 months, but ETH buys him and doesn't get to play regularly for those 6 months and is still injury prone.

That is a flop in my books.

Dorgu's dad is fat, it's okay.

You're still not describing a flop. You're describing overpaying for a player who then got injured.
