Lazy journalism at its finest. It falls roughly the same amount each year we miss out of CL football. People should check Q1 results for 2023. The revenue and EBITDA numbers are near identical.
I’d wager Shaw is on a pretty hefty contract.I haven't looked at it in details but after next summer it should drop when many of our big earners from the last 24 months are gone (DDG, Eriksen, Casemiro, Martial, Maguire and Lindelof)
I would assume only Bruno, Mount and Rashford are on really big wages now
Spotrac & Capalogy say Shaw is on 150k pw, though these are dubious sources, I don't think he's on the 200k plus category in the clubI’d wager Shaw is on a pretty hefty contract.

I hope it's not that much. Maybe Ronaldo is on 7-800,000.Yes - but I would guess that getting rid of these player save us close to £2 million a week: Martial, Casmiro, DDG, Sancho, Eriksen and Varane
And the new players we have signed probably make quite a bit less than £1 million a week - maybe as low as £700-800.000 (Zirkzee, Ugarte, DeLigt, Yoro, Mazraoui)
I hope it's not that much. Maybe Ronaldo is on 7-800,000.
Not one journo is willing to mention this part. It's pathetic, they want us panicking.A bit dramatic. We do have a one year option.
Give him the same contract as Rashford. No wait, the other way around. Give Rashford the same contract as Amad.
Joking aside, will be interesting to see what sort of contracts we give the likes of Amad. hes had about 6 months of decent performance and shouldn't be on anything silly at this stage of his career. Problem is, everyone around him is on silly money.
Madrid are asking for Diogo Dalot as an option on the right and already know his price: 50 million Euros.
The club is keeping a close eye on the Portuguese full-back, although they know he will be expensive and that for Amorim he is a key player.
Tier 2:
City are also active in their pursuit of Gyökeres.
There are a few possibilities here (order in terms of likeliness):Would be the stupidest possible move he can make considering they have one of the only strikers in the world he wouldn’t get in the team ahead of.

Yildiz is happy at Juventus and isn't considering leaving them at this time.
I agree, but it's not a position we need reinforcements in. We have Bruno, Amad, Mount, Rashford, Zirkzee, and Garnacho all capable of playing in the wide forward/#10 positions. Priority should be LWB, CM, and striker.Quite exciting player to watch with Juve this season!
That's a big if. They currently find that price to be too high for Dalot, and they don't want to spend that much on a right back in general. If Real come in with 50m for Dalot, bite their hand off.

Was watching Juve’s highlights to see this Turkish forward.I agree, but it's not a position we need reinforcements in. We have Bruno, Amad, Mount, Rashford, Zirkzee, and Garnacho all capable of playing in the wide forward/#10 positions. Priority should be LWB, CM, and striker.
Sorry mate I thought you meant each received that and you had accidently added an extra 0. I guess i could always plead insanity.I would guess Ugarte and De Ligt are close to 200.000 and the other 3 are between 100-150.000
The wage bill isn’t really that bad anymore. Casemiro, Rashford and Bruno are the biggest earners. Maguire is probably overpaid.
The wage bill is awful for the return the players have provided. We have consistently had one of the top wage bills in the league coupled with performances that wouldn't be out of place from teams paying out half our salaries.
We have Casemiro, Rashford and Sancho on crazy wages vs their performances. Bruno arguably deserves his. Then we have a bunch of players around the £200k mark who should be top top players but are by and large just decent.
4. It's bullshit. There are a few possibilities here (order in terms of likeliness):
I wouldn't be surprised if he comes in to help City move on from de Bruyne with another creative player coming in with him.
- They want to rotate Haaland more or play Gyökeres alonside him (like Alvarez did for a while)
- They are preparing for Haaland potentially leaving City
- They want him to back up Haaland
It is hopefully possible that city will either be transfer barred or so financially restricted that they won't be able to buy anyone for a good whileThere are a few possibilities here (order in terms of likeliness):
