Let me guess, the loan with option gives us more money now while the obligation gives us less now but we are rid of him then.
The obligation to buy will no doubt be less than the option to buy. We're best taking the obligation as it saves the hassle of having to negotiate with Chelsea next summer. Even if he did well, I could see Chelsea trying to pay a lesser fee than the option to buy.
