Hopefully if we sell McT and Sancho we can get a LB & another forward in alongside Ugarte. Wishful thinking though
We are not signing another forward. This is not football managerHopefully if we sell McT and Sancho we can get a LB & another forward in alongside Ugarte. Wishful thinking though
I don’t want us to get a rep for selling cheap, same as I don’t want us getting a rep for over paying… I think Ineos/Berrada have done well on the latter. No point selling Mctominay for cheap, he might not be technically brilliant but he's a good squad player with incredible fitness and mental attributes. Sancho on the other hand I'm more than happy to take any sort of deal which saves a bit of face for us and sees him out the door.
It’s been reported if we can, we would ideally like another forward. We are not signing another forward. This is not football manager
We don't need another centre forward. What we do need is to replace the useless Rashford, Antony and Sancho with a couple of quality wide players.executives are keeping a new centre-forward in mind given Rasmus Hojlund’s injury.

This is not football manager, this is real life.
United missed four big chances against Fulham, and though Zirkzee made a scoring impact, executives are keeping a new centre-forward in mind given Rasmus Hojlund’s injury. An arrival in that area of the pitch would need a major sale first, however. United are not progressing with discussions on Ivan Toney due to the cost involved in fee and wages. Toney is subject to interest from Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli.
“This is not football manager”We are not signing another forward. This is not football manager
I’ve added why in the reply to him actually and I think it’ll be Ugarte and then a LB followed by a winger if we do lose Sancho. I would think a striker after that which has a zero chance of happening .“This is not football manager”
One of the most overused phrases here. And usually the person saying it has nothing to add to it.
Top clubs often sign more players than usual after a poor season. It doesn’t need to be football manager. It happens in real life constantly
I don’t think United will get another forward no. But if they did somehow get £25m for McTominay and £40m for Sancho, they’d definitely snap one up if the right deal was there
Well I think the way the game is going, teams aren’t necessarily looking for the goals from the central striker as much now. City are the main exception because they’ve got Haaland who is far and away the best striker in the world.I’ve added why in the reply to him actually and I think it’ll be Ugarte and then a LB followed by a winger if we do lose Sancho. If Toney is still a Brentford player past the deadline then maybe a potential move for him in January as he’s out of contract next summer?Toney doesn't make sense for any Premier League clubs financially. With the fee, wages and bonuses you are looking at a package of potentially £120m + over 5 seasons.

Reasonable price for a January signing or we just take him for free in the summer on a pre-contract
We play with one striker (sometimes none). We just signed Zirkzee, and Hojlund is only 21. I can't see us signing Toney.
Good player, not good enough to sacrifice much needed funds for MF.
I think you misread my post. If there's someone available that's guaranteed 30 goals a season, then I'm all for signing that player instead of Ugarte. It is when we were clearly not going to score enough goals. Goals win games after all
In the end, they decided to go with Conceição.
Keeping Casemiro in the starting 11 will result in at least 12/14 defeats again this season in the EPL, we must sort this position first, today our midfield 4 cost nearly £1m per week in wages with movie on less than £20k per week and a 37 year old Milner and Billy Gilmore probably on 80k per week combined dominated the second half, something is very very wrong when 3/4 midfield players can not control 2 ?I think you misread my post. I don't think that player is Toney.
It's Nico Gonzalez plus one of Sancho or ConceicaoIt clearly says that the intend to bring in two wingers. This other guy is an easier deal to do financially, so no surprise they got him first.
Damn, had no idea Gonzalez was a wingerIt's Nico Gonzalez plus one of Sancho or Conceicao

If we lost 4-6 points the Caf would tell us we’re in a relegation battleI don't really mean it - but sometimes I am tempted to write.....screw FFP and just sign 2 quality midfielders.... and if that means we take a 4-6 point deduction - it's almost worth it.
We're not in a relegation battle already, after one loss?If we lost 4-6 points the Caf would tell us we’re in a relegation battle
Good price.

I don't think you get point deduction for FFP since it is managed by UEFA. Moreso fines and possible exclusion from European cups.I don't really mean it - but sometimes I am tempted to write.....screw FFP and just sign 2 quality midfielders.... and if that means we take a 4-6 point deduction - it's almost worth it.
Sacked for being in the title race ? Tough crowd. If we can get Ugarte, Rabiot on a free and Toney (following sale of Sancho) that would be an excellent summer. If ETH can crystallise a top 3 finish by Christmas with that squad he should be sacked.
