Alex Telles on his love for Porto:
I’m eternally grateful to the club and of course one day I think about going back there and continuing this cycle.

It was a very happy period in my life. FC Porto is a love story. Of the clubs I’ve played, it’s the one with I most identified with, it was four years there. I didn’t just identify with the club, I identified with the city and made many friends. I still have friends there.

Darwin Nunez agent has confirmed some clubs who are interested in the striker this summer which includes #MUFC, Barcelona, Milan & more are all in the race for his signature. [abolapt]

I cannot believe we haven't at least tried to make a move for Mazraoui.

We have more urgent needs, granted. But we're short of real quality at RB and it seems a fairly simple deal to do, at least until Bayern got involved.

Maybe the Raiola involvement put us off.

How could you know if United made a move or not?

I don't think the club can bring themselves to admit that signing Wan Bissaka was a mistake yet. They're going to put off signing a new RB until it's absolutely beyond doubt that he isn't going to make it here. What use will Ten Hag have for such a technically limited player though?

We seem to buy every year a CB. And we never sell. Surely a new CB means the end of Jones and/or Bailly?

Makes too much sense, especially if ETH is coming. Young, played at a high level for two years straight, CL proven, available on a free and familiar with the coach/system.

If we could get Mazraoui and convince Schlotterbeck to leave Germany, that's our defense sorted for 20-something million in transfer fees (Schlotterbeck rumored to be cheap, given one year left on contract).

They don't want to come. United have a direct line to Ajax via VDS and if they identified EtH, you can bet that they've scoped out some of their players too.

And like Rangnick says, don't need to convince anybody to come to the club or question them. It's a huge challenge to be part of United, good and bad. And how many players leave Germany to England in their prime without have any previous experience or ties with England or manager in England? Leno, Rudiger, Werner, Gross, Havertz, Janelt. Only Rudiger is a standout in England even if he plays in a back 3. Leno and Werner have already been binned or complete afterthoughts. Gross and Janelt are decent, with Havertz 2nd best to Rudiger.

The lack of Tchouameni links is disappointing. He should be our number 1 target.

Trigger the extra year on Shaw if you want to wait and see if he’s ETH’s kind of player without losing value, that’s fine. But there’s no way he should be getting a new deal before then.

After 18 months of everyone raving about him, I haven't really seen any clubs linked to him since the reports emerged saying he'd agreed a deal with Real Madrid. I suppose that's what you'd expect if those reports were true. Either way, it's hard to imagine that his next destination would be outside of the usual contenders (Real/Barca/PSG/Bayern/City/Liverpool).

Will be a huge loss for the league when Pep and Klopp go.

Huge benefit for everyone else though hopefully.

Would be happy to see them both gone in the morning.

The story in the mirror about players not being allowed leave is somewhat concerning.
