Disgusting levels of greed. I'd happily miss out on any player just to avoid dealing with that particular agent
Yeah, the stampede for his signature just hasn’t seemed to have materialised. If anything this release clause has made it harder for him to move since there seems to be a move to pocket the difference

- United are waiting on Ten Hag’s decision and although he is also thought to be considering other options, including a fresh deal at Ajax, the Premier League club remain his most likely destination.

- If sufficient progress occurs in the coming days, it is possible that announcements will follow soon — however nothing will be officially confirmed until after the KNVB Cup final is played on April 17.

Ten Hag’s side face PSV Eindhoven and he will seek to focus solely on the match, while United themselves will be keen to respect such an occasion before potentially finalising the appointment.

- As things stand nothing is closed and therefore the situation is still live. Once that alters, United intend to inform other contenders — Mauricio Pochettino is believed to be Ten Hag’s main rival, with Julen Lopetegui and Luis Enrique on the shortlist as well — of the path they have gone down.

Negotiate a 2 million release clause? Seriously

It's negotiating his Exit with Ajax in respectful way in cordial manner as it should be , I have no doubt United would pay whatever compensation Ajax seeks .

Did you just ignore the bit that says “…rather than pay his clause”. Considering our history of messing up deals due to last minute ‘negotiations’. It’s 2m pay it. What kind of message are we sending to our potential new manager?

We'll pay 80 million for a shite defender but not 2 million to a club who we have long had a great relationship with, for your services.

If there's anyone who can f#ck up a simple process like this, it's us.

Sadly that’s true! Look at Romero, we agreed a couple of million with Everton to sell him, then when it came to it we demanded 7 million. He ended up staying; never playing and leaving on a free

That we want him to start earlier? The clause will dictate when he is released from his contract. We don’t know the context of why we’d want to negotiate rather than pay the set conditions of the clause so why moan?

Sorry I didn't miss anything it's actually quite common practice even when there are release clauses to work with the Clubs directly to maitain good relationship with them and also being respectful to them instead of acting like Big Bullies here take your release clause we are taking your player or manager and nothing you can do about it.

And what deals are you talking about which we have lost due to haggling in last minutes.

We have a fascination with keeping ahold of good goalkeepers we have no intention of playing and whom deserved much better treatment from the club. Romero was the first and now we're doing the same thing with Henderson :wenger:

The most famous one was Ronaldinho or a recent example involving a sale is Romero

He won’t want to spend another year on the bench when he could be first team keeper elsewhere. If DDG is the new managers pick then Henderson will leave

Retweeted by Matteo Moretto:

Modric's renewal has not been signed, agreed or discussed.

Madrid's idea is to sit down to talk in the coming weeks.

The Croatian, who prioritizes to remain in white, has two important offers from other clubs on the table.

I don't think we'll get Nunez

He's walking straight into PSG's 11

He's walking straight into Chelseas's 11 especially when Lukaku is so bad

In United - Ronaldo is pretty much nailed on in the 11 and he'll be at least a bench player up until Cristiano will leave in a year.

And I haven't said a word about giving him a CL football

You think Ronaldo's sticking around for the Conference League?

This is coming off the back of a Polish report about Lewandowski telling the Bayern Munich leadership that he wants to join Barcelona.

This report seems to confirm what Bild reported a few days back + offers some more info:
  • Contract offered:
    • 5 years
    • Annual salary: €30M
  • Man. City transfer payments:
    • €75M for the release clause
    • Additional €70M in commissions
  • Real Madrid are also in the race, but their offer doesn't satisfy Haaland at this time.

Nkunku will cost at least 60m - that's not cheap

And in what position would he play ? can he plays as a RW ?

He can play all across the attack, but he's at his best when he cuts in from the left and is involved in the more central areas of the pitch.

  • Handshake agreement with Mbappé though nothing formal as of yet
    • PSG still have a chance at convincing Mbappé to stay.
  • If Mbappé formalises his agreement with Real Madrid:
    • 5-year contract
    • €50M/year after taxes
    • €100M sign-on bonus
  • Real Madrid's plan to sign Haaland:
    • Haaland remains in Dortmund for one more season.
    • He then signs in the summer of 2023 for €125M.
  • However, Haaland wants to leave this summer, not in 2023.
    • Real Madrid will prioritise Haaland if they can't get Mbappé.

Looks like it is all set up for Mbappe to Madrid and Haaland to City this summer.
