Rice, Bellingham and a striker would be an amazing summer’s work. But those midfielders would cost £100m a piece. That said, I expect we’ll sell significantly this summer.

Hopefully we can sell Rashford for big bucks.

Rashford would pretty much cover one of those midfielders. Then there is Pereira, Axel, Henderson, Dalot, Williams, Chong, Martial, Bailly who could all feasibly be sold and could fetch £70m+ collectively. They won’t all leave in all likelihood, but a fair few will. Henderson, Bailly, Martial and Williams could probably do £70m between them.

What? Who's going to give us £100 million for a woefully out of form Rashford :wenger:

I’m not having that conversation again on here. There’s no point as neither of us will be able to prove what the figure would be in this conversation. He will fetch at least £80m if sold in my opinion, probably more.

At best I think Rashford could go for 50 million but I think he'll stay.

And irrespective of his disastrous form this season, Hag may be eager to work with him.
Rashford clearly needs to get his head right though.

Fair enough. Clearly, I disagree. Maybe we will find out this summer.

I can imagine Ten Haag laying out his plans and transfer needs that are probably a mix of a couple of Ajax players and some hidden gems and us going "LOL WE CAN GET YOU KANE, RICE, BELLINGHAM AND NEYMAR" and him being oh....right ok? And we then proceed to get in none of them and instead sign the 4th option.

Rashford can go for £50m. Whilst Chelsea fetch the same amount for Werner. Plus what they already did for Morata. This is why the posters doesn’t want to have the conversation. It’s nonsensical. Considering who Marcus Rashford is.

Oh my god!!! be lucky to get 30 million for him now, plus the wages he’s on, United would probably need to pay to make up his wages….

You just know Transfer window is around the corner when English media starts linking United with all of the English players out there. I know we generate more clicks than all of the other clubs together but:
Is any club in PL linked with English players all the time?
Is United only club that has to have huge English/British core of players?
How many English players in first 11 other clubs have?

Just the 350m

Moyes said Rice was only valued at 100mil last summer. If we had the money, why wouldn't we have paid then?

Even if you hear directly from Arnold, with half a brain you couldn't trust they would go through with this ind of spending.

Would be weird if Conte end up at PSG. His management style on paper is very ill suited for the celebrity culture at PSG. Bringing Lukaku to PSG sound like a stretch, too.

Not knowing any better. Sound like a tactic to push Levy to spend after getting Spurs fan on side now with recent result and CL football hope.

Supposedly a very reliable journalist. Also, James Pearce said Klopp's leaving in 2024 and he's essentially a Liverpool mouthpiece.
Too good to be true. Too good to be true.

What is the sacrifice required? Liverpool quadruple?

Something along the lines of he wanted a break from football to spend more time with his family. He very sadly lost his mother during lockdown so perhaps that's had an effect on him.

Re. the Guardiola news, I think there might be something in it, would be very interested to see him at International level.

James Robson became quite speculative with his article, but Ducker gives us some more insight on this summer:

  • United will have more money to spend with money being raised through sales + waged freed from the upcoming free agents (Pogba, Cavani, Lingard, etc.)
  • United have been working on a shortlist to present to the next manager. Priorities:
    • Striker
    • Two established, high-energy midfielders [explains the Kalvin Phillips link]
  • United also scouted for a right-sided forward though that's not a priority at this time.
  • Some of the other shortlisted players:
    • John McGinn
    • Jude Bellingham: United not expecting Dortmund to let him go unless a massive offer comes to them
  • Antony is admired by many PL clubs, but Ajax want to keep him for one more season.

Nico Schlotterbeck is on the market for foreign club? Previously thought he wants to stay in Germany only. If so, we should be in for him.

Source: Algemeen Dagblad and De Telegraaf

Note: the Sport Witness article states that ten Hag's agency, Sports Entertainment Group (SEG) are negotiating on his behalf. They are the ones who are negotiating with various clubs, including United. Also, United apparently have a multi-year contract offered to ten Hag, but ten Hag himself is in no rush to decide on that offer.

Yes, said he prefers to stay in Germany. Think Dortmund are already in talks.
