I know jones barely plays, but are we not risking it a bit having only four first team CBs should he go?

Bailly and Varane are both injury prone too and with Maguire out of form, that leaves just Lindelof as a reliable (sometimes) defender right now.

Yeah if we're not bringing anyone in we're looking a little light in places.

We’ve got Matic and McTominay who can deputise at CB if absolutely necessary. Shaw could cover too. Let him go play some football and let’s see what happens in the summer.

Translation:

The remaining part: Barcelona have a €30M purchase option for Adama Traoré.

Sounds like a swap to me with financial figures involved to help with accounting.

To add on, Rangnick has kept talking about how our squad is bloated. He's typically worked with smaller squads than ours with versatile players who can fill in at multiple roles. I wouldn't be surprised if he sees Matic, McTominay, Shaw, and even Wan-Bissaka as possible CBs. This will be sort of similar to how both Klostermann and Mukiele were filling in at both CB and RB for his Leipzig side. Then there's Konrad Laimer who'd play at centre mid, defensive mid, right mid, or right back.

Indeed, we know RR likes to develop a youthful team, maybe he has plans for the likes of Mejbri, Savage and Iqbal. Nothing to stop him looking at a youth side CB too.

The good thing is that we're not really in for him at this time; we're just monitoring his situation just like the rest of the clubs. Looks like all of the clubs are waiting for someone else to make a move before they begin.
I doubt we're even interested. Media using our name, because why not?

Woodward liked to keep in touch with various agents, so it wouldn't surprise me if we're still in touch with Dembélé's agent (mostly stemming from the agent's side). I'm not expecting us to go after him unless we are in need of a new attacking player.

Considering we've loaned out Martial and Amad it might be worth it on a loan. But Ralf does like smaller squads so probably not. If Lingard were to go though I could see a slight chance.

Maybe next season, but I think Rangnick will look at some of our U23 players (Shoretire, Mejbri) first before looking outside the team.

Faivre's contract with Lyon will go until 2027.

Damn. A good few for a club of Brest's size but I doubt we'll get anyone else in anywhere near his quality so I hope that doesn't derail his season. Still think he could have done better than Lyon if he has waited until the summer for example. Milan were very interested last year for example.

Tanner didn’t want to receive his wages in the form of cheese from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and who could blame him?

Lyon have now entered the race! He might become Bruno's replacement.

For the past few hours, discussions have been underway between Tottenham and Olympique Lyonnais for a loan from Tanguy Ndombélé!

  • Paratici offered the €40M that Juve wanted (add-ons included)
    • Loan + conditional purchase obligation. The conditions:
      • Spurs must qualify for the CL.
      • Kulusevski must appear a certain number of times.
  • Bentancur prefers to move to Tottenham over Aston Villa.
  • Juve still want Nahitan Nández
    • May swap Kaio Jorge for him

He's an arsenal fan apparently
So?

Man's got the chance to go to the Prem on a hell of a lot more than he is on now. You'd be silly not to agree personal terms.

He's most likely got an agent talking in his ear.

Maybe so, but this kind of thinking is why we still have deadwood that prevents us from renovating our roster. SAF was able to make do with Carrick at CB when needed, so Ralph should be able to make it work with Shaw & Matic as stopgaps, if needed. Need roster space & maybe Jones, DVB, & Martial can help increase their market value, if not their chances at PT in the next season. Heck, maybe all these loans frees up some resources for a CDM.

Why on earth would any agent tell him to not sign for a PL club? The agent would be making bank over the deal. If he's an Arsenal fan, this is why he's rejected it. There is no other logical reason why he would.
