I think PSG really want him so that it keeps Mbappe happy. They have seen the connection between Pogba and Mbappe playing for France.

I think they will pay up this summer, because if they wait until he is free, he will likely go to Real Madrid.

Maybe they feel that Real Madrid may come after him next season if he is available for free and want to get him now? I agree they are likely to negotiate down the price to 40 million.
Honestly don't think Madrid care about Pogba, even more so now that Zidane has left.

Mbappe is Madrid bound whether that be this summer or next. Never been so sure of a transfer in my life.

I think they will be happy to get him if he available for free not for a fee. Plus Pogba has a superagent who could probably convince PSG that his client has a line of suitors.

Doesn't sound close to reliable at all but if he does go, that's the type of figure I want us holding out for. Pre-covid etc etc but Chelsea got 100m euros for Hazard!

PSG's wages are going to be almost comical by the time they're done. That said, they'll have a hell of a team. Honestly not a bad price for us either, really good chunk of money to spend on a replacement.

Honestly, how the feck do they do it? Are their wages that much lower than ours for young and fringe players?

Was just about to post this.

Two players some Liverpool fans have hardly heard of, thrown out on loan, hardly played and they're getting c£10m and c£6m. How??

Grujic played 36 times for Porto last season and Awoniyi played over 20 for Union Berlin with only 2 players scoring more for them.

They have got some decent money for shite in the past but don't really get the confusion about these 2, it's not mad money and it's not like they've never played.

Mental how Liverpool get so much money for useless players..

Marko Grujic did pretty well at Porto last season and he was signed for €7.0m, they made a small profit on him. While Taiwo Awoniyi was sold to the club he was on loan to last season, scored 5 goals for them, finished 3rd joint highest goalscorer despite missing the final third of the season through injury. Liverpool signed him for next to nothing €1.1m.

We tend to keep hold of our players rather than selling them on after a successful loan.

Worth a punt for United? Seems to have improved massively and was a great watch with Portugal in the Euros.

In terms of Liverpool’s need for them they are useless, probably still decent enough players but they always seem to get a profit on them.

Certainly looked a lot better than I remember him during the Euro's. Had a good tournament.

Carries the ball forwards very well.

£10 million for a player with 2 good season in the Bundesliga and 1 in Portugal isn't that shocking. We are talking about a Serbian international here.

It’s not quite Solanke levels, I know, but £17m for two fringe players is still impressive. The scousers know how to sell.

Nah - if he was 18 it would be worth a risk, but he is 24 and we need quality players, not quantity players

Does that sound too far fetched...
Real tell PSG that they can have a free run at Pogba, in exchange for a deal on Mbappe?

Or PSG may want to bring in Pogba now as an incentive for Mbappe to sign a new deal.

I think clubs a rightfully wary about signing players purely based on summer International tournament form.

Mbappe has Neymar as a teammate, doubt having Pogba too will do anything much. Fact is to be a genuine superstar he needs to get out of France.
