Aye, great moment that. Well in, Toby. The goal line clearence was brilliant. So was the defenders reactions to it. Havent seen enough of that.

High energy good work rate and is clearly now trusted by Amorim. Not doing much going forward right now but who is. He's already taken Casemiros minutes and shown much more.
We need these sorts of players in the squad. Hopefully we see his game grow but right now he's stopped us having to buy an extra CDM immediately when there are so many other areas needing work.
Just reminds me of like a Fletcher - players that aren't the top top drawer in their position, but players that can absolutely do a job in the season as part of the overall squad, and you need those players. Fair play he's stepping up so far, seems far more mature than most players his age which I think is helping him.Didn't see a big talent when he was playing for u-21s but ETH and now Amorim both clearly like him. What a difference being an athlete makes in our team though. He's doing his job solidly enough and offers some legs in the middle of pitch which this team sorely lacks. Casemiro, Eriksen and Mainoo all lack the athleticism required and often appear laboured on the pitch.
Coaches love a player that will work hard and stick to task, it is why players like McTominay are underrated by a lot of fans but certain coaches love them. The main difference with Collyer is that he has grown up as a central midfielder who understands that position so I think there will be more to come from him in this role than the latter. He is a player who will transcend systems, thus head coaches so he will have a part to play with whoever comes in after Amorim if he does poorly and the coach after that should he fail, this will associate him with failure and thus he will end up being a figure of hate for the fanbase in about 3-5 years.Didn't see a big talent when he was playing for u-21s but ETH and now Amorim both clearly like him. United deja vu, Toby the new Kobbie, Rashford the new Sancho, Ruben the new Erik, probably same outcome
The goal line clearance was good but it was his job being positioned on the post. If he failed to do it at all it would have been a mistake. Still an important contribution. Other than that... He made 4 passes with 75% pass accuracy in his 15 mins plus stoppage time. Also 0 tackles and 0 interceptions, having come on to replace Ugarte who made 5 tackles and 1 interception in 75 mins. Lots of improving to do. But glad he did his job clearing the ball off the line and at least him coming on didnt lead to us conceding
I agree but then that's like saying Hojlund/Zirkzee's job is to score or Maguire's is to win headers, it's easy to say a player should do something. If every player did their job we would be unbeaten, never concede and win every single torphy available. The goal line clearance was good but it was his job being positioned on the post. Well that's one way to look at it, but think you could be right. The goal line clearance was good but it was his job being positioned on the post. I greatly enjoyed the camera cutting to him and Licha having him by the scruff, coupled with Collyer's face looking like he'd seen a ghost.
how our standards have droppedalmost Macheda level moment, but in defence.
If only everyone did their job we’d be top of the league. Just imagine Hojlund doing his job and scoring goals. The goal line clearance was good but it was his job being positioned on the post. 5 year deals for Rashford and Luke Shaw?United deja vu, Toby the new Kobbie, Rashford the new Sancho, Ruben the new Erik, probably same outcome
He was highly rated certainly, but I think Hinshelwood was always their standout in the position. Him aside he was probably right up there for Brighton's youth playersOne thing I didn't realize about him was that he came up through the Brighton academy, and was offered a new deal by them but rejected it in favour of joining us. Brighton basically have not missed when it comes to spotting premier league capable midfielders, and aren't afraid to look elsewhere on the globe to find them. The fact they wanted to keep a young English player speaks volumes about what their player development team thought of him, which is a great endorsement of his talent.
What joy do you get from football? Because if this is your reaction to his performance last night then I'd maybe just watch something else.United deja vu, Toby the new Kobbie, Rashford the new Sancho, Ruben the new Erik, probably same outcome
