Miles better than Mainoo, should get more games going forward. Good defending, good passing, and shows for the ball.

Another good performance, might have a chance of starting the next game.

He can get better, and perhaps will. It's just hard to sense the level of potential, but judging by the shitshow of a window, Amorim will need him.

He has been thrust into tough games off the bench and hasn't once let it phase him. Kept it simple and helped us hold our shape a lot better than we did in the first half.

Good squad player potential there, super mobile, can run all day.

I'm not on this train yet. I think he's got a good engine and he's a worker. But I hope he starts showing more in possession. He made one good through ball though that I didn't see coming. I do prefer his athleticism to that of players over the hill.

I would like to see him get a chance next to Ugarte.
The problem here is as we saw today. Who is going to get the ball into the forward players? Our build up was so poor we need a better ball player in the middle

Young Mctominay! Great performance from the lad. He kept it moving and gets around the pitch well.

I thought he did okay and should get minutes from the bench. Personally don't think he's ready to be starting, positive appearances off the bench but he needs to show more to be starting.

Deserves the start on Sunday ahead of Mainoo. Much better Engine which is critical for mdifielders in this fornation. Mainoo plays at kindergarten speed and is not nearly good enough as a passer to cover the big deficiencies in his game.

Midfielder number 3 as long as he can run and the others can't

I'm with you on this.

He looks like a very handy option to have. Somebody needs to come in to give Ugarte and Mainoo a breather, so he is a very welcome option. Even if it's only for the final 20/25 minutes of games.

Kept the ball better this time and slotted in well. Made a couple of tackles, all positives

He is good at keeping the ball, where he lacks is maybe expansive, progressive passing and creativity. If he improves a bit more in those aspects, we will have a very solid player.

He's got a lot more to his game than he's shown I feel. He's got a solid passing technique, an example being that perfectly timed through ball. I'd love to see more of him.

In general probably, but I bring it up because his previous cameo he had 57.1% pass accuracy so it needed improving. And he did by a lot with 95.2% this time, our 2nd most after Eriksen with 100% - and an assist

Mainoo struggles physically deep into games and I don't think he can play two games a week to a high level yet. Collyer looks a nice fit for this system with the CMs being primarily physical aggressive players so I think he gets plenty of minutes. Done well

So solid Today
A lot of energy, keeps the ball and doesn’t hide.
Offers so much more than Mainoo at the moment.

Played a lovely through ball so it's good to see he has more to his game than the obvious physicality. I think Bruno was reluctant to give him the ball in tight areas, which is understandable. But he isn't shying away from the game, so that's a big positive.

He is smart in that he does just enough to keep the game moving. Doesn't try too conduct the flow but instead flows with it. I don't know what his ceiling is but like I said early in the thread, midfield is a very wierd position. At his current age Matic was playing in Belgium.

The previous game was an outlier obviously, he generally keeps the ball very well. One touch, no stupid over complication, that has been his style in the academy games generally.

After that Mainoo jogging masterclass he looked like The Flash out there..

Every team needs a player like him. Reminds me of Fletcher and Park, does the dirty work when required. Think he could be better than Mctominay, looks a bit more mobile. Not sure I'd agree just yet, that he should be starting ahead of Mainoo. Give him time, he is young.
