No Müller, no Bayern.
Maybe as a second striker which is his favoured position but is he quick enough to be a wide forward?
Come on Woody, don't be a pussy, just get the guy. Muller could be a MU legend. It's all in the name. He is MUller.
We're being used by Bayern's players to add money to their contract.
We are being used by almost any players with a bit of ability to add money to their contract given that it's public knowledge how desperate we are for good players.

This is not the first time he has complained about not being a starter in all the big games at Bayern. Had similar issues under Heynckes a couple of seasons back. Don't think this is about a new contract. With his talent, and at his age, you can't blame his desire to be one of the first name on the team sheet.
Where are we going to play him though? Does he have the pace to play on the flank?

Yes because having pace is helping us so much right now with Young, Nani and Valencia on the wings.Where are we going to play him though? Does he have the pace to play on the flank?

Muller has enough pace to not look out of place at the highest levels on the wing, he's fine in that regard. Intelligent movement is more important in any case, and Muller is the best in the world at that.Lack of Pace is one of the biggest issues at the moment. The team is too damn slow to move the ball from defense to attack
In the first half of lastvseason he had 9 goals and nine assists in 16 matches playing on the right wing. This season he almost always scored or assisted whenever he played on the right - even if it was just fractions of the match if e.g. Robben was subbed and he moved from OM to right wing. I bet he was even a lot more effective than Robben if you compare the minutes they played nominal there. So yes he can play there. Durm, the new Dortmund leftback, was asked who was most difficult to play against: Robben, Bale or CR7 - he answered Bale and added Müller to it. Bale because of his pace - Müller because you never know what he does next... Or just ask ManCity's leftbacks... But - he is the tulip general's shadow peak...
Manchester United are reported to have made a formal approach for Bayern Munich forward two weeks ago as Louis van Gaal bids to reinforce his ranks ahead of his move to the club after the World Cup.
Muller has been linked with a transfer to Manchester United for some time amid supposed uncertainty regarding his future with Bayern Munich, and BILD reports that an offer has been submitted by the Red Devils.
The Germany international himself has fuelled speculation about a potential departure from the Allianz Arena after this week claiming he needs to seek assurances from Bayern that he remains an integral part of their plans.
Manchester United, it would seem, are optimistic of taking advantage of Muller’s current predicament and, while it is unclear of the exact size of their proposal submitted, they have previously been linked with a £35 million bid for the 24-year-old.
Van Gaal is expected to perform something of an overhaul of the squad he has inherited during the summer transfer window, and the acquisition of Muller would certainly go some way to propelling the club into the upper echelons of the Premier League once again.
Along with Muller, Manchester United have also been linked with moves central midfielders Toni Kroos and Cesc Fabregas, while Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels also appears to be in Van Gaal’s sights.
We're supposed to have made a 'formal bid' 2 weeks ago, is this old news?

More like we operate in shadows and far from any media spotlight while twitter wankers just making a wild guesses. We are chasing shadows while the likes of Fabregas are available. I hope I am wrong in this but I can't see him joining us
So he never stood out to you but he is positionally fantastic and his finishing is also great. Okay! What would make him unhappy? Its simple really - playing time. Have you seen the squad Bayern have and the attacking options at their disposal? Obviously he can't play every game.Id like to know how rated he is, Ill be honest, hes never stood out to me but is that because I havent been looking for him if you know what I mean.
Ive seen the youtubes and he looks fantastic positionally and finishing wise, but why would Bayern even think of letting him go? what would make him unhappy? surely being such a good player makes him untouchable and means he would almost always start?
He wants to be assured of having a key role in the first team, not just being a big game player but then not being sure if he'll start the other games. Pep does value him, it's just he doesn't want to be in and out of the team. It's a pretty hard thing to assure someone a first time place at Bayern considering they have Robben and Ribery on the wings, are getting Lewandowski up front then have Gotze and Kroos (and Thiago really) capable of playing behind him. He'd still play loads but you can't really be a guaranteed starter with those options.Id like to know how rated he is, Ill be honest, hes never stood out to me but is that because I havent been looking for him if you know what I mean.

Because there is so much competition for places at Bayern now, that level of player will not want to sit on the bench. Also appears to rate LVG as a coachHe's a class player but I can't see it happening. Not sure why it's even being touted. He's doing well at Bayern so don't see any reason to leave.
