Natural width on the left
At the expense of Martial/Rashford? I'm not sure. If he could operate from the right or centre I'd be more comfortable.
Natural width on the left
Monaco: "quick Arsene, pay the money! United are after him too!....honest".
I'm no formation nerd, but looking at the right side we have Valencia who can cross and offer width. Young and Lingard too, but they're both quite bad crossers imo. But we have options. At the expense of Martial/Rashford? I'm not sure. If he could operate from the right or centre I'd be more comfortable.
Even though its Castles its most likely this.
Arsenal have a 33 man squad and are confident of keeping sanchez(whose replacement he was meant to be) while also buying Lacazette who also likes to attack from the left. They are also keeping ozil so centre attacking position is filled up too. Dont think arsenal have the space or the money right now to buy him.Nor do they have champions league football. If i was Lemar id stay at Monaco than moving to Arsenal as they wont win shit while at Monaco he can play and attract bigger teams.Monaco: "quick Arsene, pay the money! On the left I see nothing resembling natural width. Luke Shaw SHOULD be that player by now, but he's too risky to pin expectation on imo.
From our end, sounds entirely, exclusively like paper talk. But, Monaco's strategy has shocked and surprised so many this window, that poor Lemar, if Mbappé & Fabinho leave, will feel utterly alone. And Manchester United have a history of surprising, big, late bids for Monaco Frenchmen. Bottom line, don't rule anything out. Monaco have made it clear that they do not believe in the saying: "not for sale at any price". Having said that, Lemar has surrounded himself with great counsel: his father wants him to remain to be assured of a place in the France squad for Russia 2018, and his call-up today shows that this is likely to be a winning strategy. Plus, the way the market is going, it would be unsurprising for Monaco to want at least €80m plus bonuses if they were to do any deal.
Natural width on the left
Dont know if he cant or can stop them, he certainly said so he would.
Well when I watched him, he stayed pretty wide and had very good dribbling ability down the flank. I can only go by that. Then he's not the player we should sign. He played more inside leaving Mendy the left wing to attack.

He said it in the press conference. I dont know what will happen. I think we will get a hint if something is on the table from mourinho today. If he says market is closed for him then thats that.He let Martial leave the camp to deal with a transfer and did the same for someone else but I can't remember which player it was.

He most definitely is, just because he goes inside at times and you see Mendy overlapping doesn't mean he cannot keep the width. Just watch where most of his assists are coming fromThen he's not the player we should sign. He played more inside leaving Mendy the left wing to attack.
We've spent less than £30m net. You're woefully uninformed.
When Jose says that, it doesn't mean anything. He said it in the press conference. I dont know what will happen. I think we will get a hint if something is on the table from mourinho today. If he says market is closed for him then thats that.
33 Man squad and he plays in the same position as sanchez who you are keeping. Think you forgot to read that. Also clearly you wont match wages or the money Monaco are asking (80 million euros) Your board looks at bargain basement signings and anything over 40 million does not exist in your universe.

Not sure you can act all high and mighty when your club balks at any player over 45m. Given that Monaco want 60m, is it that surprising people think your board won't allow it?

But that's not what you said. You said we don't have the money to buy him which is absolute nonsense. If you'd have said we won't buy him because our board is stingy I'd have agreed with you, but you didn't.33 Man squad and he plays in the same position as sanchez who you are keeping. Would be amazing if he could play on the right
I think he definitely could. He has all the tools, but he got shifted around a lot due to his all-round qualities and presence of Bernardo Silva mainly on the right. If he spent a season there then he could really make a big splash IMO.
He can most definitely play on the right.Would be amazing if he could play on the right
He is an outstandingly good player, and a much more exciting signing than Perisic, but my two questions, can he play down either flank?
and if we got him then how could we shoehorn in Griezmann, if he should still be a target?
I just don't know how Lemar fits into this team, but that's Jose's problem..!!
Seriously doubt Griezmann would still be a target, especially given how much he would cost on top of Lemar.
Our interest is total made up bullshit. As if Mourinho would buy Lemar, and that as an alternative to Perisic.

He had a report less than a week ago, saying we were interested. That podcast doesn't mention there is intrest from united. It says if Lemar has a choice between United and Arsenal he would prefer United. They also mention that Monaco would sell if their price is matched which is 60 mil. Not sure if that is euros or pounds.
Would much rather Lemar than Peresic but Jose pretty much said Peresic was for a WB. So Lemar could probably do a job there but I'm not sure it would be a major strength over the likes of Shaw.
Before last season I think he played right wing.
