He's only ever played on the right about 4 times professionally. I wouldn't consider him capable of playing there right now.Any credible links? His wiki page says he is capable of playing on both wings. We don't have a proper RW you know

Similar to Perreira from what I've seen in the way he would be quite comfortable in 4-5 different roles. Would be a good addition for sure
I was very impressed by him everytime i watched Monaco, would be a great signing for us.
He's a quality player but plays mostly on the LW, I dunno, that to me is where Martial and Rashford will get most of their games, adding a 3rd player to the mix could be problematic.

Lemar is a wonderful passer, crosser and dribbler. With him also taking set pieces I can see why he may be of interest to Mourinho.
I do think he is best suited to playing with an overlapping fullback and if he played on the left for us it would only work well with Shaw involved. In that regard maybe Jose wouldn't see him as different enough to Martial or Rashford.
I hope he can see the benefit of adding a set piece taker and such a good crosser of the ball as Lukaku would definitely benefit from that as the Monaco forwards did last season. Hopefully its not just a ploy to get Perisic.

yeah he could but thats a complete waste of 60 million. He's a left footed winger thats exceptional in the final third with his finishing or crossing with his left foot.
He's a weird one for me. I don't really want us to sign him as I don't see how he'll fit in without drastically reducing Martial and Rashford's minutes. But I also don't want Arsenal to sign him 
Whoscored says he played on the right for caen, has almost half his career appearances(45 vs 103) from teh right.
Left footed and 5 foot 7. Doesn't seem like a player we would sign for the right wing to me.

I think Mourinho wants Perisic so bad we are trying every trick in the book to get him. Personally, I don't think we'll sign either player.

Pity though, a versatile, quality left footer like Lemar could have been a really good addition to our squad.
Lemar was never a target, it wouldnt be that difficult to get him, same for Draxler.
The only 2 targets we were after and didnt get were Griezmann and later Perisic. As long as nothing changes on that front, i doubt we will buy a player

We're one injury/a drop in form away from mediocrity again. We should really get someone like Lemar.

I think lemar would be perfectly capable of playing in the 10 role... could actually be good having him and miki / mata able to comfortably swap positions throughout the game - though to be honest with less than 2 weeks of the transfer window left and monaco already having sold a few players for good cash i cant believe they are going to let off 3 of mbappe, lemar and fabinho leave so i really wouldnt be surprised to see him at monaco for another season

We won't win the league this year with our squad, but it would take a whole lot of injuries to make us mediocre.
Why? I'd call us pretty mediocre last year, and we've only added immediate quality in Matic and Lukaku (in place of Zlatan anyway). We looked excellent against West Ham, but I'm just hoping Martial, Mkhi, Pogba and Rashford keep this form up.
