Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

^That is exactly the type of last show I was expecting. Brock or Reigns to feign throwing a punch. The other gets pissed of and actually pushes. Which leads to a punch, and then a little scrap before all the officials come running out to separate them.

Instead we get tug of war, inspired by the IC title build. hmm

Poor doesn't even cut it. That was seriously pathetic. Reigns is dead in the water, Sunday will be interesting just for the crowd reaction during the main event.

I half suspect they may pull a fast one and have it announced that Lesnar's contract is up on Sunday so you get a WM XX kind of situation. It's going to be Lesnar vs Goldberg all over again, but without a referee everyone wants to cheer for.

I don't understand why they have just ruined Reigns. They supposedly saw him as the next big thing and yet they book him like that? What were the creative department thinking?

Ive just read about the end. IT sounds awful

Did you approve?

It depends on how the match at Mania goes. I think just about every reaction I've seen so far missed the important parts of the segment with regards to how the match goes.

Either that or I'm giving them far too much credit, they're wanting people to think how I am to swerve us and essentially sabotaging Roman.

Maybe WWE are setting up Reigns to turn heel and join Heyman or become the "new face" of authority by going heel...

Naaaah.

There's no way you can convince me that the ending segment was good post-Heyman.

For one thing, Lesnar's reaction to Reigns grabbing his belt wasn't consistent with Lesnar's character. I understand that they're avoiding any physical interaction until WM, however, in terms of character consistency, Lesnar has attacked and destroyed other competitors for provocation far less......

Lesnar's character wouldn't grab the belt. He'd kick Reigns in the gut, pick him up for an F5 and then grab the belt. That's his character.

I do like the fact that Reigns grabbed the belt, though. It played into the idea that Heyman vocalised that Reigns needs to be the kind of person who "takes something". The tug of war at the end wasn't only weak looking to both, but it also didn't look very intense. No officials separating, no real sense of animosity between them.

@Randall Flagg I really was thinking they could have done a double switch with Reigns and Rollins. Play off this whole "reality era" where WWE really are picking Reigns as the new guy, have authority endorse him whilst with Rollins they tell him he cant win the big one (until he does beat Orton, but its the same night Reigns becomes champ which overshadows him).
Rollins has improved so much on the mic that he can go alone whilst Reigns would benefit from somebody helping him whilst he does his own promos (and if he gets booed, fine, hes a heel then).

Anyway:

Agreed, I thought with them both grabbing the belt it would have set up for the belt dropping, a face to face, a punch, retaliation and then a scrap which gets separated making you want to see more. It just kinda... ended. had a whole feeling of "thats it" rather than "cant wait for more".

I actually think the match could be really good and surprise people. I just think WWE have put Reigns into a situation where once again he was booed heavily despite what somebody on this forum keeps saying.

I dont think I have ever heard Heyman cut a bad promo

you have odd opinions PS

He is a legend, but I was a huge ECW fan back in the day

There's zero content though. He goes out there and he talks a lot and goes on the odd racist rant like the other week but what does he actually say? Nothing at all.

Too much drinking of the Kool-Aid out there.

He generates interest. His comments are talked about long after the show ends. He makes a racist comment, it's talked about. He says nothing of content, yet, his comments are often the most remembered part of every Raw episode. His job is to sell... he does that. It accomplishes that end.

You think he generates even a modicum of the interest in a Brock match, not, you know, Brock Lesnar?

If you remember anything Heyman said last night I will be amazed. I'd forgotten before Roman had hit the ring. Delivery with no content soon loses interest, just ask Bray Wyatt.

I think Phelan does this on purpose. He generally goes against the popular opinion on here

-Reigns is being cheered - not being pushed too soon
-Heyman is terrible
-Charlotte flair is terrible.
etc.

:P

You've got two of those wrong. Both Reigns actually.

He's being largely cheered, although it's far from unanimous. He's definitely being pushed too soon, but again everyone who's made been the guy was pushed too soon. I have said this on numerous occasions.

As for Charlotte, can there be any argument? She's the Fed's answer to YOSHIHIKO, without the charisma.

Heyman can do it, but his insistence on this worked shoot bullshit has just killed any interest in whatever he says.

EDIT: I'll add another one that'll be controversial right now, AJ Lee is horrendous now. Watch her try to hit the ropes. It's sub Kelly-Kelly standard. She can't hit them at all. It's completely embarrassing to watch. Now that she's sloppy in there as well she's a complete hindrance to the division.

I thought Heyman's promo was absolutely tremendous. He - and he alone - has completely sold me on a match that I was all that interested in seeing 2 months ago. He has performed his role perfectly - and then some.

They need to get Kharma back to tear the Divas division a new bumhole.

Charlotte is a lot like Natalya, great technically but zero charisma. They're both female Lance Storms.

Also, was Sting always this shouty?

He had an awful gimmick in TNA where he was like Jim Carrey playing The Joker.

Edit: Just to clarify, I know Jim Carrey was The Riddler, but if he had played The Joker.

One thing btw, I want Reigns to be the guy to beat Brock. Said it almost a year ago when I thought it was the right thing to do. But then its like WWE are sabotaging it which makes no sense at all.
Reigns hasnt been largely cheered tho especially for a top guy. Not like he should be given the badass he is. Its been a mixed bag for him, with Raw being total boos and WM and Raw night after most likely going to be terrible reactions for him (though an awesome WM showing, which I hope and think he can do, may sway a lot of people)

I dont think the AJ one is controversial. If you had said Paige though, I would have started a petition for you to get banned :P

Put a quid on an accumulator for the Mania matches at 340/1.

I think HHH will defeat Sting despite the odds. Bella twins will probably let me down though.

Don't think there's any chance Sting loses. If they did him and HHH at Summerslam and Survivor Series as well, I could see him losing the Summerslam one, but not his first Wrestlemania match.
