I reckon Cody says no to the Rock at EC. Punk wins the Chamber match after Roman beats up Seth setting up the WM match for those 2 ( also likely ties up the favor thing with Heyman/Punk).

We get a WM main event build up of Rock making Cody's life difficult and maybe hinting he'll help Punk, who says I want none of it. You get the build up with all 3 of these big names involved.

And at WM, Cody accepts Rock's help to beat Punk and retain the title. This sets up Cody to play the Homelander arc they've been touting for him, until finally he's beaten by Super(man) Cena at SummerSlam or Survivor Series for his 17th title.

Dunno I feel like this WM is shaping up to be a botch considering how much talent they’ve got for right now

Long term planning around punk is dangerous. He's so injury prone

I think he's fine with the schedule he has now.

The problem he had in AEW was that they wanted him to be completely full time, and he was basically wrestling 10-15 minute matches every week or two.

He's been back with WWE since November 2023 and wrestled just 14 matches, 11 since his return from injury in August, four of them were house shows, and another two were the WarGames match and the Rumble (the three before injury were also two house shows and the Rumble). He's only actually had five proper singles matches since getting back.

He'd wrestled eight 10-15 minute singles matches in AEW within his first three months.

He's not quite Mason Mount but he's Lisandro Martinez

To be honest the WM card looks mid so getting Rock involved would be a huge win.

I don’t think it leads to anything mind, announcing WM and fights a random heel.
Surely too soon to call the card mid? There's only 2 matches announced no?

Dunno if I posted it in here but I thought after royal rumble Cena might be heel going into mania and they do double turn on the night leading to homelander Rhodes. Could still happen.

Those matches in AEW were super competitive too with him taking ridiculous bumps for mid card or lower talents

It was a really stupid schedule when he'd not actually wrestled for a decade.

Why the feck did he need to go 10-15 minutes with the likes of Lee Moriarty and Bobby Fish?

I get they wanted him on the show as much as possible for ratings, but if they'd treated him like the special attraction he was he might have actually stayed fit, not fallen out with prats like Jungle Boy, and still been there today.

Don’t think Cena and Rhodes face each other at WM personally.

I don’t think so, I think Cody does it which leads to them breaking up next year and them having a match/the rocks next heel avatar feuding with him.

Basically McMahon and Austin to an extent which is great!

Punk to be the one who gets screwed at WM if I had to guess.
Feels more corporate rock/McMahon if they went that route. A top baby face turning heel. Cena turning heel now also would be crazy on his last run. Although his promo post rumble was kinda heelish
