Television Tho Prop Grops Throps

Saw this mentioned on another forum, apparently if Brock keeps the belt until Hell In A Cell, it will surpass Punk's 400+ day reign.

Wonder if WWE will do that just to wipe Punk's modern-day record? They're not above pettiness.

Surprised that he has re-signed. Pleasantly surprised though, hope he retains at WM now.

Apparently Brock re-signed at RAW on Monday he got an offer he "couldnt refuse". Its a multi-year contract and you can bet its crazy money, Brock went on and on about how he enjoys Pro Wrestling blah blah blach at the end of the day its about the money for him which is fine. This opens up the possibilities for the finish at WM and i'm a bit more excited about the show than I was prior to this news.

He was on SportsCenter?! WWE would have just absolutely loved that kind of exposure.

Get in. Great news. Love Brock - he brings so much to WWE.

Always think his charisma is underrated - comes across really well in interviews.

Also, hasn't he now just totally babyfaced himself before Mania?

Double turn for Brock and Reigns on sunday?

Brock beats Reigns in a close fight, Rollins comes out, cashes in and wins the title (with the help of an enraged Reigns). Sets up Rollins, Reigns and the Authority v Lesnar and Heyman.

Won't happen of course, they've spent far to much effort trying to get Reigns over to turn him at this point.

I can see Heyman turning on Brock, joining Reigns but both he and Rollins (possibly due to Reigns bitterness) fail to take the title off Brock. We end with heel Reigns working with Heyman, tweener Rollins and Brock walking out face and still champion.

Brock without Heyman though? I can't see it. I'd bet his recently signed contract had 3 iron-clad points:
1- Shit ton of dosh
2- Part time
3- Someone else does the talking

If he has no Heyman, who is his mouthpiece? How's Bobby Heenan's health these days?

"I' stayed for the money, this is easy for me" would be pretty heel-ish (and 100% true).
He's just not a heel though, people love him cause he shows up kicks ass and leaves again. He is that much of a special attraction that people crave him turning up, meanwhile Reigns is shoved down everyone's throat weekly.

I get what he is saying is pretty heelish, but he is just too well liked at this point in time. It would be daft for Sunday to end in anything but a double turn.

He also did say that he enjoyed being in a WWE ring and enjoyed his work... but ultimately, I think the fact that he's choosing to stay will be enough to make people happy (as it has with me!)

I also don't get how Reigns is played off as strong or equally as strong as Lesnar. Reigns isn't particularly big. He's a tallish guy with athletic shape. The idea that he's "powerful" doesn't play with me because he's that much smaller than genuinely big guys.

Shame it's still a part time contract, suppose this means he'll retain though. what would he do being part time if he wasn't the champ.

He's about the same height as Lesnar to be fair - Lesnar just looks like and acts like a monster at all times.

I've thought exactly the same thing myself. From a physique point of view he's not that much bigger than Ambrose or Rollins.

He looked tiny when stood next to Mark Henry the other day.

Lesnar is built like a tank though.

A few years back Lesnar made Triple H look puny and he's monster sized himself.

I guess that him losing would be used as a good way to write him off TV for a few months before building to a huge Summerslam rematch.

Lesnar should have said a Looney Tunes catchphrase to counter the sufferin succotash promo.

I wonder was that why he told them nothing before the interview, seems like they were expecting him to announce his return to UFC.

If he did Vince would have sued the arse off Dana.

Instead Brock went on a show hosted by Michelle Beadle (huge wrestling fan, was at Raw Monday) with Johnathon Coachman (ex-WWE) waiting in the wings.

Whether Beadle knew beforehand or not, someone at ESPN did. Hell they had an ESPN guy joining them on commentary on Raw for no apparent reason.

EDIT: I just remembered ESPN are doing an NXT documentary in May as well.

Reigns looks a ton better without the Shield get-up

Why wouldn't you want to see Bryan work with Lesnar? They'd have a great match.

If Brock utterly destroyed him then sure. The only thing that should beat Brock is a monster that destroys him. Not the most boring slow paced thing you ever watched where the little guy tries submission move after submission move to wear him down which is the only suspended belief situation where they have an even match. People watch Brock's matches to see someone get flattened.

I think that Lesnar vs. Reigns can be a memorable match......... but both men must be willing to adapt to the moment.

Anyone remember the famous WrestleMania match between a heel Hollywood Hogan and a face Rock?

During the buildup to the match, the Rock was a clear face with Hogan receiving typical heel heat. Fast forward to the match itself and less than a third into the match, something happened. The crowd unanimously turned on the Rock and sided loudly with Hollywood Hogan..... at this point with the reactions being overwhelmingly in Hogans favour, the Rock began acting as a heel during the match, taking the role of the heel. Hogan adapted on the fly too and both played it by ear. What ensued was one of the most memorable encounters ever. Instead of fighting the reactions, they embraced them.....

If Lesnar's reaction is going to be overwhelming as Hogan's during that match, then it would be very interesting to see if he, Reigns and Heyman respond accordingly, with switching of heel/face roles mid-match. Lesnar embracing pops and Reigns embracing severe heel heat could just be what is needed to turn the match into a very emotional encounter. Factor in a potential screwjob by Heyman and you have all the makings of a memorable match.

Even if he didn't they'd still have a great match.

Brock had a great match with Punk - one where he didn't completely destroy him - and he's not the biggest guy in the world. If anyone can tell a somewhat believable story of how a smaller man could take on a beast in the ring, it's Bryan. I don't think he should win - at all (currently, I don't think anyone should beat Brock - which is a bit daft I know, but still) - but yeah - they'd certainly have a great, physical, fun match together.

Bryan is much smaller than Punk. Punk is the same height as Cena. I don't think Punks match with Brock was as amazing as people make out, and I can't see any way in which Bryan can have a physical match with Brock. I doubt his running knee could even reach Brock's nipple.

He could easily do a Boma Ye style top rope knee or hit it with Brock down if needed (he's done it on people MUCH taller than Brock fwiw).

Bryan has had good matches with bigger and taller guys (Big Show, Kane, Batista, Orton, Shaemus, Wyatt) and it's not been an issue at all for him.

Lesnar is also good enough to work with any size. If you don't think he can have a great match with a small guy, watch him v Eddie Guerrero from way back in the day.
