The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

Do you think they realise the media will continue to call them out while they are fast and loose with absolute non-facts?
Pence absolutely does. He comes across as the personified hypocrisy and (unlike Biden, for example) not as very smart but not as dumb either. I interpret his remarks as an attempt to be loyal to 45 but take a more civilized approach; however, he's not so stupid as to think CNN, NBC, NYT, WP etc will stop calling out the blatant lies and the poor governing.

45 himself? Not so sure. It wouldn't surprise me if he (or should I say President Bannon?) is looking into ways to limit freeedom of the press and is totally convinced he will get this through.

The Snowflake in Chief fired one of his advisors for allegedly being critical at a private event where among other things he talked about for dysfunctional Trumps white house is. Are you tired of winning yet?

Donald is somebody who obviously values loyalty, and the article states that Deare was publicly critical of Trump himself and other key members of the administration. Honestly, how can anybody realistically expect to be kept on at a time when they prove themselves to be disloyal when loyalty is what's needed the most? Smart move by Trump.

Hypocricy is hypocricy, no matter how you put it. Why didn't Obama change the electoral college system? Obviously coz he also lost the popular vote. Why are we even talking about this?

Going to need an explanation for that statement.

There is a clear difference between backing down on a promise, and arguing for a full-scale revolution.

What do you think of Kellyanne Conway, one of Trump's key advisors, making up a fake massacre?
There are a lot of inconsistencies in her behaviour. At first glance she probably made up the story as an excuse to reinforce the travel ban.

Were there weapons of mass destruction in iraq? I say that because the US is still in Iraq for some reason, yet the story was that there were weapons of mass destruction.

Do you see a pattern here? Politicians...fake stories...

 you're really taking to your new character

Courtesy of a good colleague of mine, Andrew K in New Mexico, a GOP supporter nonetheless.

I just heard on NBC News that people thought Trump in his speech this past weekend was referring to a non-existent terror attach in Sweden. I was shocked at how some could think that because none had occurred. The first thing to come to my mind was the immigrant crime in Sweden, as this article describes.

Why woud anyone think terrorist attack when the biggest news out of Sweden over the last year or so is immigrant crime?

Big league!

Wow, this is a really good, positive article. The American people should be proud of Jared for taking the correct steps. Naturally, they should be understanding if Trump hasn't got around to do quite as well as Jared. It was always going to be a monumental challenge for somebody with so many successful businesses. Not only that, as the article states, these guys have a thousand other things to do.

Are you trolling or for real?

I'm not talking about Iraq, though. Answer the question.

Yep. Not to be confused with MrMarcello.

And please don't confuse me with Carlos Marcello who worked with Castro and Ted Cruz's dad to eliminate JFK.

Side note: I fail to see how MTF and MrMarcello can be seen as the same thing. One has three letters, the other is thrice the size!

Your arrogance is sickening, and the question remains how many more defeats does the regressive left need to experience before they realise that Trump voters / Brexiters/ Zionists/ Racists / Sexists etc. just can't be arsed to engage with a bunch of serial losers.

You made this.
What a shit show of a post...

I cannot take you seriously.

Don't worry. We feel the same way about you guys (in case you ever wondered). I know you don't care.
Huh? Who's we? and what do you feel?

I'm all for chaos. So much can/will be achieved with it.

Sure you do. People think they want chaos. I used to think that too when I was an edgy teen when V for Vendetta was so cool.

The reality is that chaos makes lives miserable for LOTS of people, including your loved ones. Be careful what you wish for.

Whataboutism..... Is that okay with you then?

@Raoul Your thoughts?

Great choice. He's well known in military circles as an independent thinker. He wrote a book years ago that was critical of Vietnam era generals for not challenging political leaders of the time (President Johnson particularly), which sort of shows how he may deal with Trump. He's also not the sort of personality that would stand for Bannon running roughshot over NSC staff.

It doesn't mention the 2012 popular vote which Obama won by 5 million and is wrong on the 2016 popular vote, which Clinton won by 2 and a half million. Classic move though, providing a link to stats which don't actually include said stats. That's another one for the highlights reel.

Trump even called for revolution, saying of Obama: "He lost the popular vote by a lot and won the election. We should have a revolution in this country!" He blamed America's "phoney" electoral collegesystem for the result, despite the fact Obama did not actually lose the popular vote — he beat Republican candidate Mitt Romney by 5 million votes.

Did you bother to read this in the link which I provided? Also see highlighted part in my post where I say "it's prob wrong then"

Never heard of him whereas I had heard of the other Generals being nominated, rumored, etc. Bizarre.

Puppet hire?
He's actually a good pick in my opinion. I'd heard of him before this. Good combat commander, then went on to command the training center at Ft. Benning, and held some higher level administrative commands in the more recent stages of the War on Terror.

Maybe we need two threads, one for a general Trump debate and one for a newsflash.

Don't think so. Was doing some light reading and he's the type who, although respected in the military world, went against the status quo. He wrote a book being critical of Vietnam War and that supposedly resulted him being passed over for promotion to Brigadier General at the time. He's obviously of a higher rank now.

Also, I may be looking too much into it but seeing this guy makes me think he's not the type to take shit from anyone.

So Kushner and Ivanka are still leaking things that will put them in a positive light.
The e-mails were obtained through a FoI request from MSNBC and a law office on behalf of The James Madison Project. Not sure where you read about leaks.

Thanks, that sounds quite encouraging.
