If you are using Chrome or Safari then just switch to incognito mode on your browser, should solve the paywall problem.
Thanks! I'll give it a try with Chrome, haven't had luck with other browsers yet when I switched to incognito/private.

@langster Thanks for reassuring me that this should normally work but unfortunately it doesn't. I get the log-in screen before 10 articles.

Oh ok, that's really strange, must be your location. Incognito should work as @InfiniteBoredom said, I hope it does so good luck. If not I will be happy to copy and paste the articles in a PM for you if you are ever that desperate to read them. To be honest, the one you linked on the Tweet isn't that interesting and doesn't tell you anything new at all. It did lead me to their top article though which is a nice piece on the downfall of Kellyanne Conway, it ends with the clever line of.. Kellyanne has made her bed, now she needs to get some sleep

We're here today to celebrate American engineering and American manufacturing. We're also here today to celebrate jobs. Jobs. (Applause.) This plane, as you know, was built right here in the great state of South Carolina. Our goal as a nation must be to rely less on imports and more on products made right here in the U.S.A. (Applause.)

Oh, he's doing a campaign rally four weeks after being sworn in. So much for uniting the country!

Really hope the above stuff about the classified meeting comes off as true. Yeah, we may get stuck with Pence, Ryan, Rancid and Turtle running rough shot over the laws and whatnot but at least a deranged buffoon will be out of office.

Is Trump a secret plant from Microsoft?

For no particular interest rather than general interest, I decided to read this today: http://www.ushistory.org/civ/6f.asp

This line stood out...
There were political and military difficulties, as well. It didn't help matters that political amateurs were in control of Rome in the years leading up to its fall.

The moment the Praetorian Guards discovered they have the power to decide who wears the purple, it was the end of Rome. It's hard not to see the parallel with what transpired last November and probably is happening now.

Pence speaking at Munich Security Conference right now. Delivers greetings of 45 and his message that the US continue to support NATO. Promise to tackle the future together.

Pence also accused them of 'eroding the foundations of the alliance.' He went on to say:
"Let me be clear on this point: The president of the United States expects our allies to keep their word, to fulfill this commitment and, for most, that means the time has come to do more.”

Presently, all too many of those in the audience are failing to uphold the togetherness which was referred to.

Harward and Petraeus apparently both rejected the position because Trump wouldn't allow them to choose their own staffs.

Cheers for that, I went and read about that after your comment. The Trump administration have the loutishness and flouting of laws down.

@langster Many thanks for your offer, greatly appreciated. :) I found a browser which works (for now, knock on wood) and hope that it'll do the trick.

Good for both of them. So that leaves 45 with just two candidates left.

Beyond the two FBI field offices, FBI counterintelligence agents based in Washington are pursuing leads from informants and foreign communications intercepts, two of the people said.

This counterintelligence inquiry includes but is not limited to examination of financial transactions by Russian individuals and companies who are believed to have links to Trump associates. The transactions under scrutiny involve investments by Russians in overseas entities that appear to have been undertaken through middlemen and front companies, two people briefed on the probe said.

Reuters could not confirm which entities and individuals were under scrutiny.

He's going to hold a rally today. I can't help but think that it's going to consist of some really spiteful statements about the media and how they, people who support Trump, are all under attack from an elite that can't come to terms with their win. It will be reinforcing the sentiment of his message on Twitter the other day, stoking the tensions to rally that base as he loses support everywhere else. All in all it's going to be very ugly.

Is it normal for the POTUS to hold campaign rallies a month after entering office?
These rallies sound like an ego trip. "See how much support I have."

Why is it that McCain is breaking ranks with the republicans on every trump issue. Is it that Mccain is immune to any political Backlash from the base republican voters? Even Ted Cruz who trump accused his father of helping kill JFK, won't break ranks and criticise trump. He obviously feels Trump is nuts as he spoke out against him heavily in the campaign. Why is it that Mccain is immune to Trump

I don't know and it's a good question, but I've always quite liked McCain despite not agreeing with his politics. Seems to be one of the more sane/decent Republicans out there. Maybe he's speaking out as a power-play to be on the right side of history if/when the Trump bandwagon implodes, but I'd like to think he's just doing it because he thinks it's the right thing to do.

I'm worried that Trump's rallies are a way of showing opponents that he has massed support; it's an implication, IMO, of potential violence should he be ousted.

Drumpf is boasting about pipeline steel being domestically sourced when virtually every product he has flogged (ties, shirts, etc) has been made overseas.

Oh, absolutely. It's like Caesar marching his armies to boundaries of Rome, casual stylee. It's a veiled threat.

I would like to think so but it never usually works like that in politics. Trump has said nastier things to Ted Cruz and Cruz is defending and spinning for trump. Almost every last republican dances around Trump and his madness and say democrats this, Obamacare that, or go on about how the media this or that McCain isnt spinning anything. He is just as outraged as everyone else. How is it that he is the only one with a soul. Is it sad that i think he has some alternative reason than he is just standing up for what is right. Every last one of those republicans think he's looney tunes. Especially Ryan before he realised trump may just win.

Does he really believe that the public truly cares about things like pipeline steel, a cheaper 'Air Force 1' etc etc?

Imo, this is just a massive show because he's insecure about his poll numbers and the Russia investigation. If he can't deliver on his policy agenda (jobs, the wall, Obamacare etc) then he will be fecked. He's just delegitimizing the media and Dems to mitigate the eventual pain once the bad news comes.

The recent survey he put out, which will most likely be taken by those who support him, comes across as another way he's trying to do this. Deflect all criticism by making it look like he's got a bigger base than he has in reality.

I can't watch or listen to this, it's just making me fecking angry and very sad. It's all flat out lies or twisting the truth, and it's all about him, nothing new and to be expected. But it's the President of the United States of America acting like he's still on the campaign trail because he likes having smoke blown up his ass AND because as well as wanting his ego stroked and to get his message across because the media aren't lying for him anymore. It's just lies, lies, lies and the anger in the crowd is worrying too.

He won in 2016 by 14 points, so he's got a nice cushion, the next election isn't until 2022 when he'll be 85 so there is also the chance he won't run again. Not that that is the only reason but I imagine it plays a part, I think he's genuinely fearful over the future of the country.
