There was no mention of anything good or positive whatsoever, and absolutely no acknowledgement of the outgoing administration despite them leaving the country in a far more secure and prosperous position than Bush and co left it in, and all that after two immensely costly wars and a global recession.

He really hasn't a clue about anything but now he will be petrified from his intelligence briefings, yet arrogant enough to think only he can fix things, and as proved, he doesn't give a shit, he's only interested in himself. The obsession with the inauguration crowds and pictures prove this, if anyone wasn't already aware. The major worry is he will start medalling in affairs that he has no right to, or he really starts upsetting other foreign leaders and countries. They would only have to call him out on Twitter for him to lose his shit.

Feck his precious feelings, feck his ego and feck him. It's time he was told how shit really is and it's time people start standing up to the pathetic, insecure, narcissistic bully, because that's all he really is. It really is about time he was put in his place. Ironically losing the election would have been the best way to show him, and by winning all it has done is fed his already ridiculously large ego and created an absolute fecking monster of epic proportions. The only saving grace is he's pretty dim and hopefully he trips up and makes mistakes that he will be held accountable for, but sadly, at the moment, that doesn't look like happening anytime soon.

I hope we (Britain) tell him where to go in regards to bringing in harsher torture practices. I'm hoping when he says he'll rely on his team and whats legal he's just talking tough. It doesn't suprise me that the intelligence leaders have told him it works though, they only have one objective.

Sadly Britains goverment is as ethically devoid so we'll go along with anything. We already do it one stepped removed, as does the US one assumes

Yeah I agree, however if the Republicans were to impeach one of their own I'm pretty sure Trump would be high up the list. Trump would have to commit some absolute heinous crimes for that to happen though.

Trump could kidnap Paul Ryan's kids then have Secret Service agents hold him down while he teabags him live on US TV and Ryan would get up with that shit eating smile still on his face.
 
As soon as it becomes politically viable for them to do it, they'll do it.

Well at least some of his supporters seemed to genuinely believe that a lot of his electoral promises were just stuff he said for shock value and common sense would prevail after he won the election. I'd say they're feeling pretty sick right now. Not that I have any sympathy for them.

Just a sign that public opinion has fully turned against him, as it rarely comes back. Favourability in the low-30s would be a trigger, I think, or a major scandal that refuses to go away.

Of course, there's also a chance that he does better than expected.

The problem from the GOP's point of view is that he just gave them back the presidency. How many voters will they lose as a consequence of impeaching their hero?

That's the problem, he is not called out to his face. That reporter should have said to him, " the American people are worried about you're narcissistic personality which you are displaying right now. We have witnessed the same traits in every dictator and 75% of the country are fearful for their families survival under you're administration and you are only hung up on obviously small crowd numbers. What have you to say to the American people that fear you have more in common with a dictator then a democratic leader.

It's a risk/reward decision they'll have to make, perfectly feasible for it to be a net benefit for them to dump him if he's doing really badly.

There's also the fact that most of what he's doing is basically what the republicans always want to do so they can quite happily continue with that, even without him as their rambling figurehead.
 
You guys know what, I actually think Drumpf will manage to somehow get Mexico to pay for the wall. The propaganda victory, yuuuge win and tremendous, tremendous and fantastic victory will just be too tempting for him.

If he manages to pull it off his supporters will literally jizz themselves into a frenzy and he will approach sainthood amongst large masses of them. Narcissus is very aware of this.

He will use the NAFTA deal, the aid from the US to Mexico, taxing of goods and all other methods of financial and political pressure he can.

This is basically the truth. In the last retreat between Senate and House republicans, Some of them wanted Mitch McConnell to push through anti abortion laws along with budget measures or to make a law that absolute majority is not required to kill filibusters. They have a short window and they are using it. Talkshow hosts (Hannity, Limbaugh, O Reilly, Levin) have been extremely positive and even the Nevertrump guys like Erick Erickson have completely turned around and they are cheering every move. This is what they want and this is what the people of Trump voted for.

The only way Mexico would pay is if they could build it within their border and have control over access.

I would guess most of them are loving every moment of it so far

Some parts of his 1st week I can understand why they might be pleased and some I cant

I think anyone who's ever had to actually look at the practicalities thinks it's batshit. Even Rick Perry in the 2012 primaries had to pour cold water on it.
