The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

Yes, you do. You emphatically do. The point of a democracy is to vote for who you want to represent you. Even in Michigan, the closest state this time, the difference was 10,000+ votes. Each individual vote is symbolic. I chose not to send a symbolic message that I want Hillary Clinton, a centrist war mongering liar whose only interest is power for power's sake to be president. I sent that same message in the primaries where I and other Michigan voters helped Bernie Sanders to a historic upset.

The Democratic party chose not to heed those lessons nor pay any attention to her unprecedented unfavorables and rigged the primary in her favor. She chose not to campaign in the rust belt states or offer anything to the disaffected people here. Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party are not entitled to my vote, they have to earn it and they failed to do so. I didn't go around campaigning for people not to vote or whatever. I simply voted my conscience. The only way you'll get me to feel bad about it is if he won by 1 vote. But the presidential election wasn't decided by 1 vote and it never will be. Individual voting is symbolic and people should vote for what they believe in. Maybe then we might be able to vote for an actual liberal.
Yeah the ~270k people voting for neither Trump nor Hillary couldn't possibly have tipped the scales.

Thinking a bit more about this so-called 'Muslim Ban', I don't think it has anything much to do with preventing jihadi infiltration, otherwise as pointed out there's a host of other countries that should be on the list and non-Muslims would be exempted. And I'm not even sure it's about Trump's own bigotry although it surely is for many of his supporters.

The US is by far the biggest funder of refugee resettlement programs run by UN organizations like the IOM and UNHCR, and these days the bulk of the refugees they process come from those countries listed (esp. Syria and Iraq where the US bears probably the prime responsibility for the problem), so surely this is just a convenient excuse for Trump to cut funding to the UN?

Is there a constitutional way to reject all these executive orders that he's signing, for example can Congress do it ?

He reminds me of OptaJoe with that final punchline word he often uses

Sad! Terrible! Etc..

 Or the guy from the Jazz Club on the Fast Show.... GREAT! NICE! @RedSky

Why is he umm bothered? He doesn't like Obama, he's been helped out by Asange....trying to figure out his angle. Maybe he's concerned about wikileaks outing some of his info now.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, I think maybe their Tweet the other day saying he was WORSE than Hillary may have ruffled some feathers and got him worried.

I wonder if we could create a fake Kim Jong-Un twitter account to troll Trump. It seems like he gets pissed nightly and goes on a drunken twitter rampage so its not beyond possibility.

Better not actually :nervous:

It's ridiculous, the narcissism is off the charts

I there up in my mouth a little when he said "I call it a sea of love".

Videos like that and the interview about the Pew Report just send my blood pressure through the roof. I'm embarrassed that he's my country's president.

It's not even a picture from his inauguration, it's from the Women's March, how deluded can someone be!

Help us all. Somebody, please?

Na I'm pretty sure it was from the inauguration but was just dated wrong.

 Greenpeace stepping up

On an even darker note, has anyone shared this yet?

That's exactly like his inauguration speech though. I thought it was an awful speech, full of doom and gloom and it made out that the USA was like some post apocalyptic wasteland and he was going to drive through throwing magic pixie dust (that only he owns) to make it great again. There was no mention of anything good or positive whatsoever, and absolutely no acknowledgement of the outgoing administration despite them leaving the country in a far more secure and prosperous position than Bush and co left it in, and all that after two immensely costly wars and a global recession.

He really hasn't a clue about anything but now he will be petrified from his intelligence briefings, yet arrogant enough to think only he can fix things, and as proved, he doesn't give a shit, he's only interested in himself. The obsession with the inauguration crowds and pictures prove this, if anyone wasn't already aware. The major worry is he will start medalling in affairs that he has no right to, or he really starts upsetting other foreign leaders and countries. They would only have to call him out on Twitter for him to lose his shit.

Feck his precious feelings, feck his ego and feck him. It's time he was told how shit really is and it's time people start standing up to the pathetic, insecure, narcissistic bully, because that's all he really is. It really is about time he was put in his place. Ironically losing the election would have been the best way to show him, and by winning all it has done is fed his already ridiculously large ego and created an absolute fecking monster of epic proportions. The only saving grace is he's pretty dim and hopefully he trips up and makes mistakes that he will be held accountable for, but sadly, at the moment, that doesn't look like happening anytime soon.
