He can't even do a military coup. The military haven't sworn any allegiance to him. What's more, his relationship with the military is very poor at the moment. He is iut of options but will put up the facade of fighting on until January 6th, when the House accepts the votes.

Trump has nowhere to go now unless he's prepared to try attempting a military coup. He's so dumb and crazy that I wouldn't rule it out - especially now that he's surrounded himself with sychophants who will feed him the lies - e.g. the military are ready to support you - that he wants to hear.

Wouldn't that be treason? If he suddenly order the armed forces to grab power on his behalf. The chairman of the joint chiefs of staff has recently stated that they won't answer to him, so I'm not really worried to be honest. I'd love to see Trump face those charges in court though.
Also, why hasn't twitter started deleting or hiding Trump's fraud tweets now? After losing almost 50 court cases those claims are no longer disputed, they're proven lies and untrue. Now that the Supreme Court has been involved as well the case surely must be dead. They should just ban him already.

I think that's the case in most civilized countries, the armed forces are used against external threats not your own citizens. The latter is a police matter.
I would have thought any plans along these lines would be to use the National Guard and various Militias to join with them. He'd be starting a Civil War and the FBI or Secret Service would have to get the cuffs on him.
We all know that he knows more than the generals. But why would he attempt a military coup? It would mean he would actually need to work at being a leader in order to survive.
Better to play the fake leader as the president who was cheated out of his 2nd term and then monetise it. Less work, and will be doing what he does best, an agent provocateur.

I don't think he'd give any orders but he'll tweet away hoping that Republicans will protest, friendly governors will call states of emergencies or whatever, Trump will keep his little handies clean.
What he must be worried about that come Inauguration Day he is fresh meat for Manhattan/SDNY.
