The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

A place that has stopped existing a long time ago. Do I want it back? Feck no. We don't need a monarchy. A direct democracy without a party system and with politicians who are personally accountable for their results, that's my dream.

F*ck that Reichsburger nonsense.

A direct democracy with 83M inhabitants doesn't work, nothing would get done. You have to realize that.

What we have now doesn't work, either. We need to really build something new. We need to look forward. Switzerland is a step into the right direction, with referendums on many important issues.

unproven.
So you think there is proof that Hillary clinton cuts off and wear the faces of kids she purchased off Wayfair so she can extract the andrenochrome for Bill inject in his cock in the basement of comet pizza?

What is happening on here?

You're more than welcome to your own opinions on Donald Trump. But a few of us have read up significantly on both him and his Presidency, and so are more than within our rights to dismiss them as ill informed.

If you came into a thread on The Wire telling everyone you heard the show was overrated and doesn't justify the hype, and then admitted you'd never seen the thing - you have your opinion but it's pretty worthless imo.

If you want to know why the vast, vast majority of people that have spent any amount of time learning about the man and his actions f*cking hates him, then do some research.

Blasphemy.

Take it back, I don't care if its hypothetical, but you better take that back.

You see, I can say as someone that has watched it all twice that the second season is a bit meh but the rest is magnificent. It was, of course, a hypothetical designed to show how ludicrous the poster's opinion was.

Plus a lot of us are living it. We have a scary few months ahead of us but some dismiss that because their due diligence is sorely lacking.
I don't know enough about Bolsonaro but if I go to a forum to discuss him you can guarantee I will read up on as much as I can so I don't have to say "well I didn't know that" on something that is common knowledge. The posters that come here to defend trump know absolutely nothing about him only he's smart, or in his words "good genes".

i stopped watching in the second season, because of that
then i gave it another chance and it was great

Depends on what tenants you are talking about. Could you specify please?
So you think there is proof that Hillary clinton cuts off and wear the faces of kids she purchased off Wayfair so she can extract the andrenochrome for Bill inject in his cock in the basement of comet pizza?
Here are a couple of the tenents. These are definitely specific, but the broad strokes of their allegations are at the core of the movement.
Sorry, misspelled ‘tenents’ earlier.

I just didn't want there to be any physical evidence linked to you for when the judgement comes.

I liked season 2. Season 4 is hands down my favorites season of any show, ever.

If you mean the Hillary wearing a child's face one? Sounds adventurous. What would it take me to believe this? Video evidence verified in a court of law. Nothing less.

Trump isn't smart by any metric, but he has 2 talents that he exploited throughout his life :
1) He knows how to tell people what they want to hear
2) He'll exploit any kind of high ground he has over someone without any second thought when it benefits him, regardless of the consequences

Basically, he's just a lying bully.

And of course he's surrounded by smart people, we all know what happened with Cambridge Anaiytica He was lucky enough his message resonated with a huge part of the country at a specific time of distrust towards establishment. Other than that, he's a moron that you couldn't have a 2mn interesting conversation with. I don't bite for a split the second the arguments saying "he's a very smart person pretending to be stupid to sound like a regular person". He's just dumb as a brick.

What we know about Cambridge Analytica was mostly fluff. Even the researcher that created the personality model from Facebook data - which was its only purpose - said it was a bit rubbish. 6 times more likely to be 100% wrong than it was to be 100% right, and in general about as predictive as assuming each individual is just the average person. The real Cambridge Analytica stuff was the usual bribery, honeypots and other unethical practices in less developed countries. The new shiny stuff grabbed the headlines but it's the traditional methods that really mattered.

What's the point of calling someone uninformed, beyond being a dick? If you think someone is uninformed, and you only tolerate discussions with "informed" people, then isn't it better to pay no notice to that person?

Okay, understandable reaction to a specific event. Do you agree with the movement? I, for example, do not. While some of its aims are laudable (to eradicate child sex trafficking), others are laughable. Overall, it is just another regurgitation of a conspiracy trope that has been repackaged & peddled for centuries. It has found some traction these days due to their aims & their emotive value definitely snares those who want to believe the worst & most silly about their opponents.
I’ve got nothing against a good conspiracy theory, but this one is just not one of them.

I would have gone with Tulsi. Woman of color, veteran, moderate voter appeal.

Safe to say now that you really have no clue about US politics.

Feel free to stop posting until you produce that evidence comparing BBC bias with Fox.

I don't think so. Cambridge analtyca was merely an exemple but Parscale had a full time digital team of 100 staffers building a huge database to target voters and flood social networks. A lot of analysts admit it was instrumental in Trumps victory and that dems are still miles behind with their digital campaign. But of course, i don't doubt his campagin team also used more traditional strategies.

Only time will tell. Either this is an extremely well thought out psyop meant to keep the right wing in check ('trust the plan'), a fringe movement spiraled out of control or the biggest political coup the world has ever seen. My money is on number 1.

The proper organization's that tackle child trafficking say they are being severely hampered in their work because of these fecking fools. Their idea of child trafficking is seeing a child who is a different color to the adult they are with, see Cindy McCain for this example.

Those analysts tend to fall into two groups: political analysts who don't understand digital media but buy into the hype, or people within digital media who directly benefit from producing the hype. Undoubtedly Trump's digital campaign was and is stronger, in large part because they invested a significantly bigger proportion of their funds into that. The question is whether having a stronger digital campaign makes that much of a difference. It was an easy line in 2016, but I'm sure none of those talking heads will point out that Trump's superior digital campaign in 2020 somehow contributed to the exact opposite result this time round. This thing that "changed the nature of politics" has disappeared into a non-story, despite those capabilities only growing. Something doesn't add up there.

But this time round Parscale was duped or just to far up his own arse to seen thousands of tiktok kids signing up for a trump rally. They even said they were going to do it yet him and trump thought 1 million people were going to show up.
You are right, dems are miles behind the Republicans on that regard.

Without a doubt, they are. The whole movement is repackaged right wing horseshit.

Mate, we're talking about Trump's staff here, of course they're going to do something pretentious and stupid at one point ^^

You don’t think that the movement is a right wing one? If not, who is at the genesis of it?

The right wing wave has given the mentally ill a nice little platform so they can howl at the moon. Social media has also amplified to a level that should be unacceptable to society. I love conspiracies but to think that trump is here to save the children from the Clinton's who they think are leaders of a global peadophile ring is just so fecked up that it shouldn't be entertained especially not by public officials or people in positions of power.

Well tbf, it wasn't the Dems that duped him but a grassroots, bottom up bunch of millennials and zoomers that did it organically.

Yes, that, but do you think it’s ok to be bullied out of a thread?
You are absolutely more than welcome to engage on this thread. Please do.

But imo do a bit of reading before asserting things. I would never go into a thread on Argentinian politics and just start 'both-sidesing' everything - because I know the sum product of sweet f*ck all about it.

This thread in GIF form:

Usually, it's more like this:

iu

But I guess going in circles is better than crashing.

Oh I know that, I was just saying the Democrats are pretty shit when it comes down to organizing online.
That was fecking hilarious though, the walk back from Marine One with the tie open and the foundation stains on the shirt. He looked like a silly cnut who left a Spearmint Rhino in a pissy mood because he was told the stripper wasn't actually in love with him.
