Indeed. When I woke up and heard the 'news', I immediately thought of the Mother Jones article that was posted pre-election. The level of detail (urination party etc) is new but the claim from a former MI6 guy that Trump is Putin's puppet, nurtured for years, was known before the election.
My impression can be wrong, but it seems to me that it has taken the American intelligence services extremely long to look at these allegations.

I've always thought his hair color looks as if someone peed on it. It might actuallly be the case.
 
Looks like FBI have been suspicious with the links for a while now.


The Guardian has learned that the FBI applied for a warrant from the foreign intelligence surveillance (Fisa) court over the summer in order to monitor four members of the Trump team suspected of irregular contacts with Russian officials. The Fisa court turned down the application asking FBI counter-intelligence investigators to narrow its focus. According to one report, the FBI was finally granted a warrant in October, but that has not been confirmed, and it is not clear whether any warrant led to a full investigation.

The more i read into this new development, the more i think its a nonsense story and the buzzfeed document is not real. :(

The report claimed Michael Cohen met secretly with Kremlin officials in Prague in August 2016.

The story is “totally fake, totally inaccurate,” Cohen said.

“I’m telling you emphatically that I’ve not been to Prague, I’ve never been to Czech [Republic], I’ve not been to Russia,” Cohen said. “The story is completely inaccurate, it is fake news meant to malign Mr. Trump.”

Cohen said that during the time the report places him in Prague, he was actually with his son visiting USC and meeting with the baseball coach.

A USC baseball source confirmed Tuesday night that Cohen and his son had visited USC on August 29th. Cohen said that he was in Los Angeles from the 23rd through the 29th of August, and that the rest of the month he was in New York. He said that his only trip to an EU country over the summer had been a vacation to Italy in July.

It would take just minutes for an agent at the FBI/CIA to pull up Cohens passport record and check to see if he has visited the country in August. If this claim is fake, then the whole document cannot be trusted.

But on the other hand, surely the intel agencies will have done their vetting to corroborate the claims made by the "British spy" before mentioning it to Obama and Trump?

One of the easiest parts to verify would be a persons travel history.
 
It would be hilariously ironic if the whole thing was fake but his supporters took it as gospel anyway.

The irony cuts both ways, though. With so much anti-Trump sentiment around the role that fake news played in getting him elected, it would be a shame if the left were hoist by their own petard. Which is why I can't shake the suspicion that this is all just a deliberate troll by someone from the right.

It's possible that the Buzzfeed document is not the same document passed to the intelligence services.

And let's be honest... Buzzfeed isn't going to be the leaking medium of choice for anyone with any credibility (Russian prostitutes are the leaking medium of choice for people with zero credibility btw...)

Buzzfeed is all about clicks rather than journalistic integrity, if it turns out to be false they lose nothing.

It's either a coincidence they both came at the same time, or Buzzfeed saw the CNN story, thought they had the same report, and published before doing proper due diligence. Or that one, small, part of the report happens to have gotten in somehow and only Buzzfeed took it seriously.

... Or it's 4chan taking the piss and lying.

Or, perhaps, it's not that and the golden shower story just got in for the same reason the pig fecking story did. Just seemed too good to remove once it was in there. Seems 4chan got a paragraph in the dossier and some have taken it to the "4chan wrote the whole thing" extreme. It's a shame, cos the pig story overshadowed far worse allegations in that particular book, and the same is happening here.

It could be either or all quite easily.

If it is true that the FBI report contains made up information from a 4chan user then all bets are off on what information you take seriously.

You have to question everything else that is included. To be honest with known information like the DNC rigging i'm genuinely surprised people don't already but that is the power of MSM and institutions like government, FBI etc..
