The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

My question at this point is this: if this info is so hot, and was apparently known since the summer it seems, why didn't it come out during the free-for-all environment of the campaign? (and I'm guessing the Mother Jones reporter/editor feels a bit ignored right now, but it needs to go somewhere bigger than that to get traction)

I'm worrying that its either not so hot, or not so reliable (the private brit spymaster who seems to be at the heart of this), and CNN is actually just going out on kind of a limb.

Signing their own death warrant if they are as far as credibility goes (and you know quite possibly literally?)

Bah... that's the issue isn't it? There's a not unlikely scenario where after a statement from Trump team and a discussion on tomorrow's shows, we never hear about this again. Does seem like there's little cost associated with being wrong these days (and I'm not in the 'Corporate Media', 'MSM Fake News', etc. camp).

Am I wrong in thinking that in England you can have private insurance but you still have to pay NI contributions? There is no opt-out.
NI covers unemployment benefit, disability allowance, maternity benefit, pension on retirement and health related issues and such. If you could opt out and then you found yourself bankrupt you'd be in a bit of a mess. Likewise if your health forced you out of work so your insurance payments couldn't be met you'd be in a worse mess.

Thanks Comey
The two-page synopsis also included allegations that there was a continuing exchange of information during the campaign between Trump surrogates and intermediaries for the Russian government, according to two national security officials.
Sources tell CNN that these same allegations about communications between the Trump campaign and the Russians, mentioned in classified briefings for congressional leaders last year, prompted then-Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid to send a letter to FBI Director Comey in October, in which he wrote, "It has become clear that you possess explosive information about close ties and coordination between Donald Trump, his top advisors, and the Russian government -- a foreign interest openly hostile to the United States."

Actually it nowhere close to covers those things... check any tax take and you will see that clearly... it does not even cover the pension bill and demographics suggest that's going to become a bigger problem over the next decade

Circa tax take from ni £101bn in 2016
Pensions circa £156bn
Health care circa £146bn

So yeah nowhere close to covering all you said

FBI information security guy is the one giving stuff to the Russians.

Comey definitely needs to be investigated now

Comey's timely statement about Clinton's emails is incredibly suspicious, that is for sure. Surely the head of the FBI is under an intense microscope though and is vetted to extreme levels?

Racist and sexist in under 140 characters, you should joint Trumps social media team.

I've been called for a second interview.

Ever since I lost out on my dream job as Director of Race Relations for the southern Alabama KKK, I've suffered a loss of confidence. What went wrong? I washed my sheet twice!

Maybe The Lord never closes one door but he opens another. Donald and I are sympatico.

Fingers crossed.

One would expect him to be so. But at the same time, Reid's comments show that he knew of the Trump team's communication with Russian gov't officials, and he did nothing.

Al Franken is pressing Sessions on the CNN report and on Wikileaks now. Using Session's own words against him by contrasting them with what Trump has said about Wikileaks

Covers - gives access to. (Not the thread for this though is it)

After reading through the memos, I'm gonna sit this one out for now. Smells fishy (says my amateur spy sense, trained by years of reading Clancy and Forsyth novels).
