I'm not sure even the most adept writers could come up with a believable character as stupid and insane as the actual POTUS. We live in truly ridiculous times.
And it all happened so fast. It's bizarre stuff. And apparently for millions of people, it's all acceptable.

Following US President Donald Trump’s comments on Thursday 21 March, a Foreign and Commonwealth Office spokesperson said:

The UK views the Golan Heights as territory occupied by Israel. Annexation of territory by force is prohibited under international law, including the UN Charter.

We did not recognise Israel’s annexation in 1981 and have no plans to change our position.

Just not Trump’s week is it.

His first tweets

Should give CNN something to talk about for the next few hours.

7 panelists discussing with Brian Stelter the 1578 different meanings behind Trump's tweet
Or turn on to MSNBC to see Chris Matthews shout at some poor guest about modern technology:p

This is one move that the media should very much be blamed for. He's shown himself to be a hack time and again, yet keeps being given a platform in the service of "fairness"
There's a much younger female economist who he gets paired with on CNN from time to time and she shreds him usually.

It's solely to break up the "Trump hasn't tweeted in XX hours!" chatter. Which I'm sure he's been sitting in Mar-a-Lago watching and fuming at.

If that was the case he would've came out with one of his usual lines. The fact he's said so little for so long should be an indication that he's been advised to exercise the kind of control he's never had before, in the context of a particularly relevant legal matter going on at precisely this moment. Something that's making him feel unusually pleasant.

I think we're kind of saying the same thing. I don't believe he tweeted those things himself, or at least not without supervision. His favorite pastime is watching cable news so there's no way the topic of his lack of tweets hasn't come to his attention and he felt compelled to saying something, no matter how banal, just to combat this sense that he's had his hands tied. That's the Trump we know.
