I feel the same, but after reading how a lot of polls concerning Trump are carried out, I just think they are mainly bullshit now. Most polls Trump promotes on Twitter are found on the White House website and ask specific questions to his supporters.

For me the poll is actually pretty sinister: today Trump will decide what he's going to do with regards to another shutdown, despite the house reaching some kind of agreement. All throughout the shutdown, polls were clearly showing how unpopular his position was, and that the vast, vast majority of people were against his approach.
Lo and behold, the night before he has to decide, a new poll from Rasmussen says he's doing totally great, up 10 pts from their own poll two weeks ago. And lo and behold his handlers make sure he knows all about it.
