You said Nixon wasn't as bad as pop culture has us believe because he had some good policy ideas. That's the same daft argument as Hitler (or Mussolini) weren't all bad because they made the trains run on time. At what point did I claim that any other POTUS wasn't as bad and when did I claim that Nixon was all bad? You seem to minimize what he did just because later men have done equally bad stuff or even worse.
Also, Watergate was not pretty tame if you look at the details. It wasn't just a burglary of the dems office.
But if you want to carry this on you should start another thread for your essays and try and convince me why people who do monstrous things aren't that bad if they do some good things too.

I have no idea how he can lie to an audience that knows he is lying - all those listening know that they have had a pay rise each year - yet he still lies. So you can only deduce he is lying purely for his own benefit.

The thing is when you have a President that lies like that, and institutions as weak as they are, it's really a perfect storm. So he lies that he gave a 10% raise to them. They know it's not true. He may or may not know. But I guarantee you no one on Fox News is correcting it. And if Sarah Sanders is asked she'll give an answer along the lines of "As the President has said many times, he believes no one has done more for the troupes". And then it will become 'common knowledge' that Trump gave a 10% raise. Even though he never did.

This is another strawman that I already corrected. I already said I am not minimizing anything he did wrong just putting it in perspective.
Pop culture (at least where I have lived) tends to paint this picture of Nixon as all bad and Reagan and Clinton as heroes of their respective parties. I am pointing out that perception is wrong; Nixon is not all bad, we can recognize he did good things, its certainly a fair argument that Reagan and Clinton were actually worse than Nixon but the media sells us a narrative very different from the facts.
I am making a relative argument that you keep misinterpreting as as absolute argument.

I specifically said Watergate is pretty tame compared what Reagan did with deal making with Iranian hostage taking terrorists which led to the corrupt Iran-Contra. Again its a relative argument not the absolutist one you keep falsely implying I am making.
Unless you are arguing that Watergate was worse than Reagan's Iran Hostrage/Iran-Contra scandal you are only posting irrelevant red herrings.

Without checking, if it’s the court nominations he’s referring to, he has a GOP majority in the senate and it’s flake that is blocking them rather than the democrats.
