But they are the dominant power in Asia... And dominant powers throw their weight around... See Russia in wherever it deams it's sphere of influence (Ukraine Syria) and usa all over the rest of the world

There's no equivalence. Although sometimes misguided and often resented, the US's actions in the post-war era have rarely been solely motivated by national self-aggrandisement. Chinese and Russian policy is driven by nothing else.

There looks to be quite a bit of self interest there... Nothing wrong with that but if you play that game then you can't be too surprised when others do

Wait, so now they're throwing their weight around? I thought all the artificial island building was purely defensive to protect them from some "rogue state" with carriers, cruise missiles, and stealth technology?

Of course as it's what countries with some weight do or they would be on the list of governments that the USA has tried to overthrow since ww2... As evidenced by the fact they tried to do it before when China was less strong

But yes China is a growing power and they are taking steps to defend that... Seems reasonable doesn't it?

So it's our fault that they are bullying their way into the territorial waters of every country in the South China Sea?

The US biggest nuclear trouble, for the moment at least, is how they handle their own arsenal. It's a minor miracle there hasn't been a catastrophe yet.
The biggest worry for the US at the moment is North Korea's missile range capacity and Pakistan's mobile fleet of nukes.

No outside agent is going to nuke America. Pakistan's arsenal is pointed at India and N.Korea is a family business that would lose out on starting a nuclear war. The US military did almost nuke NC by accident, though.

It's not necessarily about worried about being nuked by them that provokes the US to commit resources to tracking those countries nuclear programs. And that's before we even get to a potential Iran/Saudi arms race.

Isn't he running for DNC leader ?

Yes, he's the opposition to Ellison. I would think that particular line wouldn't be a great choice given what happened on November 8th, amusing to see him be so open about it.

I hear a lot of good about Perez from the likes of Obama and others. Its actually strange that there's such a growing division between the progressives who support Ellison and the Obama cartel who have thrown their lot in behind the likes of Perez.

Putin's apparent plan to dismantle the EU with far right figures would not work if the heart of the EU itself elected a pro-EU centre-leftist.
SPD is dying, and AfD is waiting to be promoted.

You don't need far right candidates across the board. He just needs personalities that are malleable enough to meet his needs of not being anti-Russia so that he can continue expanding his own power and slowly regaining a Soviet sphere of influence. The nuke deterrence, cyber manipulation, hybrid warfare, cultivating Russia friendly foreign leaders including the likes of Schroder and Trump are just vehicles to keep the ball rolling in Putin's direction.

North Korea's nukes are nothing more than giant land mines at the moment. Japan will nuke up before Kim gets them to work.

Fool proof really.

Unless he's captured, or loses the message, or is a spy.

Then you get 'she'.
