This judge asserts that the 2012 ruling on the constitutionality of the Individual Mandate was based on classifying it as a tax and thus well within the purview of Congressional powers. He rules here that since the current congress reduced the Individual Mandate to $0 that classification is no longer appropriate and thus the 2012 judgement no longer pertains. Further to this he concludes that the mandate is central to (inseverable from) the wider functioning of the ACA and thus it's unconstitutionality renders the entire legislation invalid by default.
This will now go back to SCOTUS on appeal.
