This Jacob chap..is he the one who tried to lay a sexual assault charge on Mueller. A 20yr old attention seeker if I’m not mistaken.

Scenes.

Hopefully they're both lying and are both arrested.

You left out the answers you've been getting. Can't leave us hanging like the...
It's nothing you wouldn't expect. Everything from the "he's not racist, his daughter is a converted Jew!" to "well, they have to put their support behind someone, don't they?" to "he's just an older person, it's not the same" and of course, plenty of whataboutism with regards to Obama and Hillary. The only silver lining is that lately they don't seem to have anything left to say. Kavanaugh got those types very riled up but Trump's only moving further and further into the red meat territory. I think they can all see the writing on the wall with him and it won't be long before he's abandoned for a saner, less overtly racist option.

Thread.

What the feck? Yet again how the feck does he keep getting away with it all? It's insane!

SA being a sacred cow goes beyond Trump. I can't see any of the past Presidents taking a tougher stance either sadly.

When you consider that a very deep and thorough investigation concluded that the Saudi’s were behind 9/11, arguably modern america’s worst ever day, less than 2 decades ago with the loved ones of the victims still very much alive and mourning and the resulting war triggered by it still ongoing with American soldiers still fighting and dying on a daily basis...

...yet here we are, the same party that was in power during those events is in power again and carrying out some of the shadiest and scummiest of their dirty work.

I’m not a 9/11 conspiracy theorist so I don’t think it’s been one long line of collusion and inner jobs. I do however think it’s an absolutely horrendous insult to the victims of that day.

By all means build bridges and repair relations with countries who have wronged you in the past but to carry out heinious acts as favours to them is just shameless.

I can't believe a country would be so beholden to a regime that turned a blind eye to terrorists that killed thousands of its citizens.

I can. For them, it's all about money.

Which report is this?
I imagine he means the 2002 congressional joint enquiry with its redacted 28 pages ( released in 2016) that said there was a possibility of a connection to the hijackers and the Saudi Royal family and that there was a possibility that the Saudi Government was helping fund Al Qaeda but that it was all speculative.

Right, from what I remember it was all very inconclusive and in any case didn't implicate any Saudi of major importance, though I could be wrong on that.

It did implicate high level Saudi officials in the USA to aiding and giving financial support to the hijackers including the Washington embassy and the LA consulate. There was various things implicating Saudi Agents and the Saudi Government but any connection to the Saudi royal family was speculative.

I wouldn't be surprised if a segment of the royal family was funding AQ. It was suggested in a Bin Laden documentary that a Saudi prince was fox hunting with Bin Laden in the late 90s but the CIA was not permitted to drop a bomb due to potential diplomatic backlash that would have unfolded had the US killed a prince. However, that may well have been a disgruntled CIA member stating such; or may have been Scheuer and he's a nutjob.

CIA was not after OBL before 9/11. I think only the FBI was interested. And extrajudicial killings were not the hype back then.

Ah right. I wasn't aware there were embassies/consulates implicated.

From what I recall it was an Emirati prince? Not 100% sure.

What about kill orders though ?

The CIA and FBI were both after bin Laden well before 9/11, but had different ideas about how best to go about stopping Al Qaeda, and some personal animosity between their main guys which may have played a role in allowing space for the 9/11 operation to go ahead undetected.

Perhaps so. I'd have to sort through various videos of Bin Laden/CIA stuff to find it. Was an interesting bit though may have been a former agent taking a pop shot at Clinton. Can't recall if it as Clarke, or Scheuer, or Shaffer, or someone else stating during the documentary.

Pretty sure it was Scheuer. He wanted to just bomb the shit out of every suspected training camp regardless of who was there.

I can't imagine previous admins putting pressure on agencies to extradite a dissident.

Bush absolutely would have and I think Obama with HRC as Sec of State would have done something similar.

What the feck is Surefire Intelligence?

Sometimes organizations or words like these just pop into the conversation and everything somehow knows what they are

Their website looks dodgy as feck though. Random anonymous boardroom full of people in suits background. Screams con artists to me.

Mate you've missed some lolz some pages back (or maybe it's in the Russia Investigating thread).

You'll see on linked in that one of their four employees is none other than (a picture of) Christopher Waltz... Seems that he took his Blofield role too seriously.

@MrMarcello here are the relevant pages from Lawrence Wright's The Looming Tower:
