The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

The next president after Trump will be so handcuffed by so much rules & regulations that it will be such a diminished office after Trump is done.
But Trump will leave office a truly multi-billionaire as opposed to being a fake one.

This guy is a depressing clown. A Twitter president. I don't even like reading the news anymore. He's the world's biggest scam.

Another preview into the Trump Show that will run at least 4years. America must have been bored with No-Drama Obama.

Lots of 'excitement', tension/cliff-hangers and self-proclaimed wins

He will hopefully stop once someone reminds him that people's 401ks are affected when their constituent stocks tank after his tweets, as with Lockheed today.

1. You tweet something negative.
2. Stocks go down.
3. Someone buys stocks.
4. You give a huge new contract!
5. Stocks go up.
6. "Someone" profits!!!

The lack of talent at his inauguration concert will be amusing. You just know low ratings will drive him crazy.

So according to "the international campaign to abolish nuclear weapons" the USA is at 6970 nuclear warheads whereas Russia has 7300.

If it ever comes to the point again where Nukes are going to be used...do we really need even more than 7000 American nukes and 7000 Russian nukes to be fired before realising we should stop rather quickly? How many nukes are you realistically supposed to use according to Donald?
Exactly what I was thinking. How many times does he need to be able to blow up the planet before he's set?

So when is the best time for all of us to start fleeing to Northern Canada? :wenger: Is there a better place?
Tiny islands in the Pacific or Atlantic are too dangerous. They might actually be targeted as they can be important outposts like in WW2.

...seriously though, some scary stuff going on currently. What is happening?!
Property prices in NZ are going through the roof with so many wealthy people going there to live.

It's funny, and horrifying, to see the electoral college vs popular vote still so obviously gnawing away at him. Undoubtedly he'll make more tweets about it in the coming weeks - he's a total obsessive. It's been said so many times but, damn, he must be so easy to manipulate.

Well there is a protest march planned in Washington D.C. at the exact same time of the inauguration, how close they will be able to get, I am not sure, but it's trending all over Social Media. Also trending is someone is planning a huge live concert for the exact same time too, apparently loads of big acts and stars and musicians are signing up to perform at it which will no doubt piss off the great orange moron elect. All that and the fact nobody wants to perform at his inauguration AND The Rockettes' Mormon Tabernacle Choir are apparently BEING MADE to perform, they are so unhappy about that they have consulted lawyers and there is a petition on Twitter to get them to drop out. That all explains his narky tweet from yesterday where he said that A-listers were "queueing up asking him for free tickets to the big show"

He's shallower than the Caribbean sea.

It's like an irony competition. Who can get the surreal-est.

Trump vineyard seeks Labor Department approval to hire foreign workers

Federal ethics experts for former Democratic and Republican administrations warned Thursday that President-elect Donald Trump is creating a major conflict of interest by allowing his Virginia vineyard to seek special temporary visas for foreign workers.

Trump, who is president of the Charlottesville vineyard that applied this month for H2 visas for six foreign workers, will soon run the U.S. government, which determines whether to grant those visas.

“This is a powerful example of why Donald Trump needs to make a definitive break, not just with his operational interests but his ownership interests, by appointing an independent trustee to liquidate all that,” said Norm Eisen, a visiting fellow at the Brookings Institution who was chief White House ethics lawyer for President Obama from 2009 to 2011.

He called the situation “a classic conflict of interest.”

If Trump won’t divest himself of his businesses, he should make sure that none of his office’s appointees have anything to say about these decisions, said Richard Painter, a professor at the University of Minnesota Law School who was chief White House ethics lawyer during 2005-2007 in the George W. Bush administration.

They should hold a protest near the site where everyone just boos constantly but cheers everytime an Obama moves an inch. Obama Obama give us a wave.

What would be good is 10s of thousands of people all turning up with their own megaphones.

So he's crying like a baby and trying to put the guilt trip on about his son and charity, yet no mention of him reaping benefits and massive rewards from all his businesses and hotels? Such a fecking hypocrite. He doesn't give a shit about the charity, just using the scenario to make out he gives a shit and gain sympathy from his supporters. #cnut!

Not aware about American politics. Is there any "no confidence" vote among the political circles which might shorten the duration of trump being the president? Or is it 4 years minimum?

He seems to have forgotten about the Clinton Foundation and what they did.

Impeachment, but must be voted on by the House and confirmed by the Senate.. And constitutionally the president has to have committed one or more of... "treason, bribery, and other high crimes and misdemeanors".

So he's OK with a arms race, eh? "We'll outlast them" is such an ignorant comment. Maybe someone should tell him there'll be no winners in a nuclear war and having 10 more warheads ain't gonna help avoid apocalypse. What a dumbass!!

Yeah, the US and Russia have enough nukes to make the entire planet uninhabitable several times over.

I like it. Obviously there's never going to be a nuclear war, but a gung-ho up-and-at-em US President is exactly what's been missing from a world that Putin has dominated in recent years.

You're making even less sense than Trump. If you know there's never going to be a nuclear war, then why make the weapons?

And both countries already have enough weapons for a overkill many times over. Making more is sheer lunacy.

And Putin dominating the world? When? Where? He's been rattling the cages in that region...but dominating the world is such a hyperbole.

Having the nukes is enough, needing to use them is neither here nor there. Putin took Crimea and flattened Aleppo while the West tutted and waved their fists at him, terrified that actually trying to stop him could cause "escalations".

With Trump Putin will have to be the one trying not to cause escalations.

It's largely a political exercise and the "other high crimes and misdemeanors" part pretty much means if they have the votes they can impeach you for just about anything.

Yep.. And considering the political landscape of the House and Senate, Trump will actually have to do something serious to be ousted.

The operational term is MAD (Mututally Assured Destruction). Both countries have 1000+ nukes and Putin does what he wishes. So, why would both countries having 2000+ nukes, would make any more difference? The existing arsenal is more than sufficient to level the other country multiple times over. Getting more will only reduce the size of debris left, which really doesn't make any difference at all.

Thanks you guys for popping into the thread every once in a while just to remind us just how incredibly simple some of you are....

February is the best time to move to Northern Canada.

Good luck

I'm pretty much always critical of emotional responses to anything, since they achieve nothing and sometimes even cause more harm than good. But I must indulge.... what the feck???!!! Obviously none of this is new, so I mostly keep suppressing the emotion but have to let it out. What the feck does aging, failing, authoritarian Russia have to offer the US? Surreal where we've arrived, holy shit... its like the Fall of the Roman Empire or something. Not defeated by some great emerging empire, rather by its own rotting.
