Can there really be that many? Maybe it's different in Norway, but at least here the school system (at all levels, from primary school to universities) is quite left-leaning. I guess I had assumed this to generally be the case everywhere, but maybe that was being optimistic?
Not in any of goods ways like healthcare, gun regulations, workers rights, anti racism etc but in that this is the most important country in the world in terms of military and it's position in the global economy, the president after being elected in a democratic-ish system becomes the most powerful person on the earth and yet it's still possible to have that Jimmy Kimmel interview. And the most amazing part is in that within a few days(If not already)that interview will have been completely forgotten. Only in the US could you get this sort of utterly bizarre situation.
It's a bit like seeing a video of one of those blokes who took so many steroids that his arms exploded, on some level it's actually a impressive achievement.

Oh yes. I’ve never been around or known of a faculty that wasn’t majority Republican. Ivebtaught in 3 different schools in 3 different districts in 3 different counties.
I have a brother, an aunt, and an uncle who also teach and I would be shocked if they said any different.
We don’t have a union in S.C.

A good friend of mine works in the public school system in Georgia and she's adamant Democrats are dangerous and Republicans are for the people. And she's fairly level-headed in general thinking. Many of her colleagues feel the same way.

Because the whole thing (in general) surprises me more and more as time goes on... Trust me this will be studied and taught. I don't blame all of them they are a product of their country and its systems and government.
They'll run the country into the ground and the deficit into the sky. The latter will allow them to go against the democrats next time they're in charge because "the deficit is too high, and this is too expensive" or something like that.

Actually, it can be fixed next month, if the people go and vote Democrats. The problem is that few people vote in the midterms. Perhaps this will change now. We'll see.
