They also believe in end times and the fecking rapture, so therefore climate change wont be the end of them and therefore why worry. And if they do want the end times to come so they can see their god and be judged at the pearly gates then they are all for speeding up the process. Its why they all want the Jews to go home to israel to fullfill their fecking prophecy of end times. Evangelicals lobby for 1 state israel more than actual jews. They also believe humans cant control climate only god can so climate change is a myth.
I am fine with your having you fairtales of adam and eve on your own time, but when we all breath the same air and your God is telling you that burning coal, and not switching to cleaner energy is the way to go then i start to get really pissed.
Most of that has to do with the religion in general. However, the evengelical thing has more to do with the Christians in America. I know many of Christians who believe in climate change and the harm it's doing.
In any case, evangelicals in America always seem to use the Christianity to defend their obsolete and bigoted views, so this is no different.
