Oh yeah he's already seen as complete joke and Trump sycophant by the vast majority of Germans that know of him. Prior American ambassadors had a loud and respected voice in German politics (especially John Kornblum), this one isn't taken seriously.

I doubt anything will come of this since Trump wouldn't mind this sort of thing to continue to fester to poke Merkel a bit.

Remember this:



Trump is going to fix it, the US spend more than the next 26 countries combined on military and most of them are allies. Trump is alienating all the allies to justify that spending. :wenger:

Bit sensationalist that stuff about their military spending (as a % it's not that dramatic) but it definitely could be lower.

When you have a much bigger GDP than anyone, and spend a bigger portion than anyone, it really is excessive, and the orange one wants to increase military spending. :wenger:

How much of our military spending increases are going to end up in the pockets of well paid private contractors?
 
Don't you know that government and especially military spending is the best way to steal taxpayer's money? Almost no control and huge budgets behind screens of secrecy.
