[tin foil]Is Trump stirring the pot with Canada with a view to annexing us you think? It would distract Europe and then Putin could walk into eastern Europe unchallenged.[/tin foil]

But then he’d have to deal with 36 million more foreigners.

Do you really think he cares? The events of the past two years read like a playbook out of that 90's book on how to advance Russian influence in the world - foundations of geopolitics. Here is a wiki summary: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foundations_of_Geopolitics

I think Trump is just doing whatever his master's are telling him to do. I don't think he is in charge here.

There’s a lot of things I worry about him doing. Annexing Canada isn’t one of them.

Hopefully no one told him that beavers were Canada's national emblem.

I have the feeling like we're all in a giant reality show in which Trump is an US president and the show will be over soon.

If this is the case then it's not going to be helping Russia anywhere near as much as it would help China due to the willingness to work cooperatively. China on the outside appears much more amenable to working cooperatively within current international frameworks and could well replace the US in being a key trade partner with Europe.

The problem with all of the US protectionist policy is that it's to try and increase their relative power, especially as China is becoming the economic competitor. The problem is of course if you drive allies potentially to your enemy, you become your own gravedigger.

Definitely. Been pointed out that Trump's approach might have worked better in the 80s when China/India weren't as powerful as they are now - as it stands picking fights with Macron/May et al will only drive them closer to Xi.

Let's face it, Trump knows a thing or two about bragging.

From CNN...
The source previously told CNN that Trump told Macron during their recent meeting in Washington that there are too many German cars in the United States.

Once again let me say, his voters build German cars in South Carolina, Alabama, and Tennessee. He’s gonna bite the hand that feeds him if he keeps up.

Also, the hypocrisy...

He’s owned multiple Rolls (Brit but owned by BMW), McLarens, a Maybach limo, and an S600.

You got better word for a potus who cant seems to hold her flotus hand in official public presidential duty without being shrugged?

He’s not able to maintain the respect of his wife?
