Trump can kiss goodbye to that Nobel peace prize
Trump can kiss goodbye to that Nobel peace prize
Sometimes I understand the Trump supporters, his comment on MS-13 gang members being animals was spun totally out of context.
Disclaimer: I don't know who the feck Rubin is, probably a right-wing reporter, but focus on the tweets he has highligted and the actual words Trump spoke, don't mind his probable political stance.
Rubin's a right-winger who pretends he used to be (or is still somewhat) liberal. Also one of the dumbest people on YouTube.
Couldn't care less about who Rubin is or who he is not. Comment on the actual misreporting about what Trump said, what you mean about the messenger is uninteresting.

I don't see Rubin as right wing or even right leaning at all. He's married gay man in West Hollywood with a track record of liberal views. I think the fact that he speaks out about the authoritarian left is somehow tantamount to being right wing. It's obviously not.
And that proves what?
Not wanting to bog down the thread to be fair. I agree that the media are nuts in general.
Yeah the media are generally insane as a whole (from both perspectives). Nothing new. It's not a conspiracy.

I watched that segment and could barely tolerate Trump's bizarre insertion of words, as if he needed to acknowledge to himself what this or that meant, or how amazing/tremendous/blah blah. His vocabulary must be limited to maybe 300-400 words and mostly in adjectives. Truly bizarre and annoying and I sensed Britt didn't really care to be there* near the man, perhaps a bit of embarrassment on display.
*Granted, Britt may still be feeling the sting of all the issues he's dealt with both through his own actions and through the services actions. John Chapman better fecking receive the MOH, and should have already received it (same for Jason Cunningham). The Intercept has an interesting piece on Britt's actions in subsequent tours that supposedly led to him being cast out of the SEAL community, and has a mention from a supposed Naval officer that the Army and Navy have interfered in the Air Force's MOH submission for Chapman. Fecking sister services fighting over who gets the spotlight.
Regardless of what has/has not occurred, Britt displayed incredible bearing and humility today.
Trump basically read the citation before the serviceman officially read it, inserting his weak adjective blather to try to create gravitas and make himself come across as stately. It was more embarrassing than anything, another puerile performance that the sheep will lap up and praise.
That Newsweek article regarding the respective services and the infighting over the MOH submission is utterly fascinating.
Which one? Any link? Thanks in advance.
Immigrant advocates have long said that the children, primarily from Central America, are fleeing violence in their home countries and seeking safe harbor in the United States. But the Trump administration has used their plight to justify cracking down on policies that allow these migrants to be released and obtain hearings before immigration judges, rather than being deported immediately.
“We have the worst immigration laws of any country, anywhere in the world,” Trump said at the roundtable held at the Morrelly Homeland Security Center. “They exploited the loopholes in our laws to enter the country as unaccompanied alien minors.”
Trump added: “They look so innocent. They’re not innocent.”
Fleeding violence=guilty for him. Should have they stayed at home and fight?I wonder why the media thought animals referred to immigrants, that's so unlike him...?
oh
We should make a tweet like trump competition here.

If anyone's read Not A Good Day to Die also by Sean Naylor (same author as this article), or The Mission, The Men and Me by Pete Blaber (JSOC recon commander during Op Anaconda), they both portray what a shitshow the whole helicopter insertion onto a mountaintop was, that led to Slabinki's and Chapman's actions. Higher up people should've had their careers cut short as a result.

I think for a man with his obvious insecurities, life has always been a never ending dick-measuirng contestTrump apparently dictated the letter yesterday morning....so the answer would be Trump himself. He sees life as a horse race of winners and losers / mine is bigger than yours etc.
