The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

Finally an admission of something most people suspected all along. Trump actively chooses to delegitimize the media so his supporters don't believe negative information about him.

It's the same as the voting itself. He'll always have the partisans on his side. It's the people in the middle ground/swing voters he needs to appease/confuse.

I actually think his supporters believe them. They just don't care.

Doesn't help they're thick as pig's shit. One of the most corrosive components of political discourse over the last 20 years has been the reluctance to acknowledge that some views are not as worthy as others. Accommodating the views of the mad, bad and dangerous for fear of otherwise being labelled elitist or, dare I say it, 'PC', has aided the rise of things like Trump, UKIP, Brexit etc. Not that everyone who supports Trump, UKIP and Brexit are mad racists with bad judgement and a dangerous sense of recklessness - but it's the way to bet.

Among the grown-ups there appears to have been a reluctance to challenge any of it until it's far too late. We said nothing about the man who was belching at the table before the appetiser out of politeness and now it's desert and he's literally rubbing his shit in our face and it's too late to do anything to salvage the dinner party. That's pretty much been the political journey for the last 20 years.

Probably telling Trump, that things have become a little frosty between North and South Korea again.

Like a crap Bond villain, he can't resist bragging about 'how he did it'.

Shameless.

Sure he will get a warm reception

I don't know that he's unhinged, and worry that his targeted brand of insanity is working. Remember the birther shite - he screamed and screamed and eventually enough people publicly gave him enough credibility. He's tapping into their need to hate and distrust. The constant fake news attacks, just so he can peddle his own version of reality. I'm confident that Mueller & Co can present an articulate, well-documented explanation of all their crimes but I'm less confident enough people will care or not side with him.

I understand what you are saying and agree with it, but it is amazing to chart developments in the investigations and the subsequent unhinged tweet storms. It is such an embarrassment to have a childish asshat in the Oval Office.

We only need a specific 285 people to oust him, but, by the time we get to that point, virtually permanent damage may be done for my lifetime. Every judge they are able to seed into the judicial system is where the damage will truly be done (and is already occurring).

I think the meltdown is because the DoJ will not give him answers he wants to hear and the latest hoola about documents is a dead end.

Could be. This might be a master stroke by Rosenstein to agree to the sham meeting today with no Democrats slated to be in attendance.

The meeting today could also end with Rosenstein having to resign due to pressure from the president, though I feel that we could be in the midst of a slow motion ‘Saturday Night Massacre.’
