They're not short sighted or ignorant. They're rich and influential and realise that climate change will impact them if everyone gears up to combat it.

There was a tweet by a lawyer a few days ago saying that he's obviously been instructed by his lawyer as there's been nothing usuable for Mueller in a week or two.
I found myself oddly in agreement with some of the things he said. Can see how Trump would find him incredibly captivating.

I think he's right on the split in the GOP and on some of the things he said in relation to some of the old administration cabinet members.
Also a legitimate point about Twitter being a medium which allows Trump to circumvent traditional media outrage.
If you google 60 Minutes Overtime, there's bonus clips of things that weren't published in the main interview. One of the more interesting things was when he said the Dems need to have a civil war to decide their own future - basically a Bernie wing v Establishment wing sort of thing - which imo, is spot on.
