The Trump Presidency | Biden Inaugurated

Yes it's truly sickening. I couldn't imagine what would posses someone to write something like that. Well type, it's clear they would struggle to actually write a letter.

I must admit I haven't seen or heard a lot about her, just a lot of people (like yourself) saying positive things. I'm going to have to go and find some articles and videos now to take a look.

She's only a Hawaii State Congress member so it's not too surprising that she's not got much national profile just yet but that will probably change fairly quickly.

Who elected the politicians?

A minority of Americans.

Yep, 3 of their mods got banned by Reddit admins, so they threw a hissy fit and the forum went private for a few days.

The restrictions placed on them were done earlier.

Then they crawled back. I'd love to see reddit ban them and watch them go crazy. It'd dwarf every rawk meltdown in a day.

I dont get why Bannon would get fired now. Some of the people who Trump has tried to appease with his recent disgraceful remarks are the same people who are big fans of Bannon.

If Bannon gets fired, these people are going to be fuming, so it'll be a waste of time for Trump to have tried to keep these white nationalists happy (press conference at Trump Tower) when they're now going to be angered by the firing of Bannon.

Bannon is who they believe is the source of the leaks.

Trump has to weigh the cost benefit of keeping Bannon at a time when there's tremendous pressure to get rid of him. The only people who want to keep him are the Breitbard/Alt-Right crowd and he already has their support. If Trump was smart he would get rid of Bannon and ask him to help him from a place like Breitbart, much as Hannity does at Fox. That would keep him on board at least in the interim.

They said the same with Priebus and the leaks continued. I suspect Bannon is involved in the smear campaign against McMaster, but the leaks will carry on after Bannon gets forced out.

Well, that's the option out the window.

Trump would be an idiot to fire Bannon.

The benefit of keeping Bannon is getting underrated here. His propaganda of Economic Nationalism has already been proven successful in 2 most significant events of recent history, Trump getting elected and Brexit. What he says is true, as long as Dems keep focusing on race relations, he'll keep winning with Economic Nationalisation.

His approval amongst Republicans is at 79% even after Charlottesville. If any he should move away from the likes of traditional GOPers like Ryan and McConnell who are now being seen as inefficient (well played by Trump during the healthcare bill) and unsupportive.

Except that his economic nationalism message isn't working. Its not being well received by the establishment, which is causing problems in terms of Trump moving any semblance of an agenda forward, and its not working with his base since they have yet to see any tangible results.

Bannon is very vindictive. I think he'll carry on with the backstabbing once he leaves the WH regardless of whether Trump can get him to help from the outside.

You're probably right, although I don't know if it will work to the degree that it did when he was still at Breitbart and a largely unknown commodity amongst the masses. If he left and started agitating against Trump, everyone would immediately know it was him.

His base is pretty strong and OK with that. As I said 79% approval rating means majority of GOP voters are OK with him. This is the reason very few key GOP players have spoken out directly against him.

If by establishment you are referring to Dems, then it really doesn't matter. They ain't winning the election anyway going by current state.

It's not a solution to the problem and it creates more problems in itself, but ultimately leaking happens because of the level of disharmony in the WH. Getting rid of Bannon will surely help tackle that in a big way? Long-term it could mean he takes a more centrist approach and heals some wounds.

Ivanka... he will make her VP just before he resigns (so she can pardon him from any prosecution)

President can't fire the vice president. Pence would have to resign first.

Problem solved. Send Pence to a room that contains a single piece of paper on the floor. On that paper write "first person who has to leave the room must resign and gets replaced by the other" and then send Ivanka in. He'll panic, worry about what Mother will say and run the feck out. Welcome VP Ivanka.

That's because Trump himself pits various factions inside the WH against each other. People who have followed Trump in the past say he does this intentionally and thrives on it.

Happy to see his white house in shambles, happy to see this cnut out the door. What happens next?

Just a point, in his idiotic press conference on Tuesday I am fairly sure trump claimed to have spoken to the dead girl's mother.

Another lie.
