The damage Tillerson is doing to the state department will be one of the defining legacies of this administration.

Dozens and dozens of offices still vacant, low staff morale and the place feeling like a ghost town.

For the 125 key positions in the agency, he's not even bothered nominating anyone for 91 of those key positions.

These are some useful articles on the damage he is doing

Yeah, I posted the cyber security one yesterday. It's beyond insane, and from what I have read so far, it's being replicated all throughout every single government department. The entire government and connecting agencies, especially the intelligence agencies are being gutted, and have been publically ridiculed by their own President, one even had their boss fired and publically shamed, so Washington D.C. might just be the most miserable place to work in the USA at the moment.

When you think about everything Trump has done in such a short period of time and yet............ still....................

When you sit and think about everything after reading stuff like that, you just have to say that there really is no hope anymore.

Fox is HILARIOUS! at the moment. Priceless, some of the comments from the last half an hour...

"Well Republicans eat our own, we are famous for it"

"Mitch McConnell is a spineless old man who has been a weak and feckless leader"

"Trump just want's people who will hand him something to sign, he doesn't care what it is, he's not that picky, he will sign anything, he just wants to sign something"

"The one good thing the Democrats do is stick together and they will be for the midterms, basically we are up that creek without a paddle"

Feck me, now they are talking about Manafort and Trump Jr both being in serious trouble and agreeing that there IS something to all the Russian stuff. They are slagging Trump and his kids left right and centre  It's beautiful to watch.

Also saying the Democrats lack a sufficient message going in to the mid-terms. Wow! I just had to check it was Fox I was watching.
The right-wing media blasting their idol! It's better than when this thing happens with the liberal media :D

Now I know it's best not to post anything from Louise but I just couldn't resist this one.

Oh that's priceless! She's clearly threatening Hannity saying she has shit on him regarding hookers. Oh my, even if it just results in a Twitter spat, this could be amazing.

It's like watching news.

Was just down a bit of a YouTube rabbit hole after following links at the end of other videos for a while, and stumbled upon Obama appearing on Letterman.

God it's a breath of fresh air listening to the man talk. The moron in chief would barely be able to follow a discussion with this much gravitas, let alone lead it.

Sigh.

Now even Murdoch's prize publication turns on Trump which could explain the shift on Fox News over the last few days. Soon Hannity and Tucker will be left interviewing each other.

If Fox turns on him he's in serious trouble.

That won't have happened without backroom meetings between the Murdochs and various other Conservative think tanks.

Trump is failing badly at pushing through their agendas. Not only is he an absolute fecking liability, it's obvious that it's not the distraction they thought it was.

Feck me! $17m in debt to Russian groups? They fecking own him! Is this the first proof that Russia really did buy the election? Or the candidate and members of his cabinet at the very least. Shit. Love how they drop this the same day as it's revealed he is going to testify next week. Coinkydink?

Wait til they get hold of Trump's records and reveal the $XXXm he owes to Russian interests.

While its hard to disagree with that...look at it in simple terms it means he would lose 23% of his vote. Enough to lose the election if he makes it that far.

Holy feck! This is ridiculous, how degrading, I feel so sorry for these people. Working hard and devoting your life to something to then be chastised and moved to a stamp licking position.

Was just about to post that.
The guy has no sense of what is going on around him.

Wow I feel sorry for John McCain and hope he gets the best treatment and doesn't suffer. Obviously I hope he recovers well.

Trump threatening Mueller though? Feck, that's huge. Strong rumours are he's going to fire Sessions soon too. He's relentless and honestly thinks he's untouchable.

Yeah MSNBC are airing an audio recording of the interview on Chris Hayes's show.

Oh, ok. MSNBC is the one channel I can't get on my telly. Hopefully someone can post some clips. Each day you think things couldn't get worse or that maybe some respite of it all, and bang, out come more stories one after another. Surely he can't survive all these?

Joy Reid is filling in for Hayes tonight. Some great points by her and Paul Butler about Trump basically threatening Mueller about looking into his company's finances. That's basically antithetical to what an innocent person with nothing to hide would do, and Mueller, as part of his work, will have to look into financial entanglements or financial inducements. Looks like Don may have inadvertently opened a new path of inquiry for Mueller.

Wasn't it only last weekend you asked me why Mueller would have any need to look at Trump's financials? Now the dumbass goes and gives him that very reason. Perfect
