All the respect Romney got when he lashed out at Trump will go down the toilet if he takes a position in the cabinet.

He was "shocked" and "disgusted" when Trump wanted Muslims banned and called Mexicans rapists and murderers, yet would be happy representing the guy on the world stage.
I don't care about that to be fair. I didn't like Romney that much last time around, but I am rooting for him to get secretary of state position. Would be the only sane person in the cabinet.

And he might convince Donald that global warming is real.

Stephen Bannon, Donald Trump's incoming White House chief strategist, used to run the website Breitbart, which he called "the platform for the alt-right." The alt-right has been associated with racism, anti-Semitism and misogyny. Its adherents believe they have a voice in the new administration. NPR's Kelly McEvers talks to Richard Spencer, a white nationalist who coined the term "alt-right."

What I would ultimately want is this ideal of a safe space effectively for Europeans. This is a big empire that would accept all Europeans. It would be a place for Germans. It would be a place for Slavs. It would be a place for Celts. It would be a place for white Americans and so on.

Either he's the king of wums or that's one of the most pathetic tweets, and on a platform that specialises in patheticalness. Both situations are funny and scary.

At this point he is saying dumb things on Twitter to distract people from the other stuff he is doing.

Oh wow so now I've read that Trump 'sent' Pence to watch that theatre play to 'distract' the headlines!

 did he also 'plant' that childish outburst at the end then, which turned out to be the actual story?!

Let's atleast be objective about this, despite how butthurt one may feel!

Does it hurt knowing the alt right messiah wants more safe spaces?

By 'childish outburst', you mean this?

And to be clear, there's nada about the Trump U settlement on the major publications, even 'bastion of liberalism' like NYT or WaPo. Want of access trumps genuine journalism.

Yeah Trump's childish outbursts on twitter are deflecting the real dark story about Trump University as well as diplomats having to stay at Trump hotels.

Feel almost dirty in agreement with David Frum here:

Wow:eek:

Lebensraum by any other name?

Good job he only defrauded people, he could've done something involving emails and then he'd really be in the shit.

Wow:eek:

Lebensraum by any other name?

He is more generous when it means the Slavs...

Just to quote the Lebensraum article of Wikipedia:

The Nazis plan for the East stated that the natives were to be killed, deported, or enslaved, such as the Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, and other Slavic populations, whom they considered inferior, and to repopulate the land with Germanic people.[5][6][7] The entire urban population was to be exterminated by starvation, thus creating an agricultural surplus to feed Germany and allowing their replacement by a German upper class.[5] The Nazis insisted that Lebensraum needed to be developed as racially homogeneous to avoid intermixing with peoples deemed to be part of inferior races.[8] As such, peoples deemed to be part of inferior races living within territory selected to be Lebensraum were subject to expulsion or destruction.[6] The eugenics of Lebensraum explicitly assumed the racial superiority of Germans as an Aryan master race (Herrenvolk), who, by virtue of their superiority (physical, mental, genetic) had the right to displace any people they deemed to be Untermenschen (subhumans) of inferior racial stock.[6] Nazi Germany also supported other nations' pursuing their ownLebensraum, including Fascist Italy's Spazio vitale.[9]

Moral of the story is that it's fine to commit actual crimes, but you are in the shit if your actions merely 'raises questions' (feck know what they actually are)

It's not like the emails where the only mark on Clinton's record. It was in the end the final dump on the shit mountain that is Hillary Clinton political career.

Moral story - avoid shit mountain.

So there were many Trumpettes who got all upset at some NFLers for standing during the national anthem. Seems it was disrespectful to veterans. Heard many of the citing fathers, grandfathers, Uncles, Etc who had fought in this war or that war. Lots of mentions of WW2.

Now who was one of the countries the U.S. fought in WW2? Oh yeah Nazi Germany. They had that swastika as a symbol. The very swastika some Trump supporters are painting all over.

Isn't that disrespectful to their relatives who fought against the Nazi's in WW2?

Spencer gets far too much credit on social media, even to the point where Twitter have now suspended his account.

It was Economic Hardship that drove them to paint those swastikas you elitist liberal you.

Those actors at it again. What is it about actors that makes them think they're so important? You play dress ups for a living ffs.

Saw a Mussolini quote in a poli sci book I bought recently... "Fascism should rightly be called corporatism, since it is the merger of state and corporate power"

Trump reminds me of a hybrid of Berlusconi and Nixon. A flamboyant, wealthy corporatist with who appeals to a segment of the middle class, but when given power drifts towards autocratic means.

Agreed. And what has that got to do with Bannon really? You could get any nutjob out there to have say all sorts of white nationalist stuff but it doesn't necessarliy tie to Bannon and Trump. Seems disenengous.
Btw, I did notice that Spencer is including Slavs and Celts. How nice to include them, and not just those of Anglo Saxon ancestry. Is that progress?

Now Trump is a Stock investor? I never saw in my life such bad losers than this elections is showing, people who claim Trump will destroy America and then the same people destroy our country with the riots, then we have a president who was never a strong leader and who doesn't do anything about all this violence, welcome to the liberal ideology world, acting like they are intelectual and very democratic when they hold the power but acting like spoiled children when they lose. I didn't see the so called racists and poor educated rednecks protesting and rioting when a black president won the elections.

It's only democratic when it suits their agenda, mind you.

Let me get this straight. The US president-elect just demanded an apology from the cast of a fecking musical, via the medium of twitter. This actually happened. We're living through some kind of scripted farce, surely?
Hardly going to call a presser for it is he?! The world lives on instant news via social media, in fact it's kinda he he won the Presidency, keep up!

Yep that!

I suggest you write a strongly worded letter to the NYT to cover the story (you'll get ridiculed because that news HAS been in the press, which is why we are talking about it).

Ps. If you really want to blame one party for taking the spotlight off Trump's settlement, I can think of one party....look closely at the video...can you put your finger on it?

It's fecking shameful is what it is. Like a petulant teenager getting the biggest job in the world. The exact opposite of statesmanlike. Embarrassing.

And what is even more embarrassing, the career politicians that are now eating their words and sucking up to that man child.

They were concerned citizens rightly beseeching the VP elect to uphold their rights, given the kind of campaign he helped ran and the kind of violence and hateful rhetorics that followed his triumph. What's childish about that? It was a planned, formal statement delivered with propriety. Outburst?

For supposedly tough guys, they aren't half lilies when it comes to criticisms.

And party or ideology have nothing to do with the papers not taking on Drumpf. The normalisation process began the moment he won, they all care about access.

Not to mention that their supporters constantly bleat about freedom of speach yet the boss man throws his toys out of the pram as soon as somebody with a differing opinion exercises that right.
