From Fox News...
Clarke’s advisor, Craig J. Peterson, said in a statement, “Sheriff Clarke is 100% committed to the success of President Trump, and believes his skills could be better utilized to promote the President's agenda in a more aggressive role.”

Peterson added, “Last Tuesday Sheriff Clarke met with President Trump and discussed other roles where the Sheriff could be of greater assistance to the President, and the Country. The Sheriff is reviewing options inside and outside of government.”
Wtf is he trying to become? Lol

A member of Donald Trump’s legal team has denied the president’s own assertion that he is under investigation for obstruction of justice.

Jay Sekulow, chief counsel of the American Center for Law and Justice, appeared across the major political talk shows on Sunday.

Speaking on CBS’s Face the Nation, he said: “The fact of the matter is the president has not been and is not under investigation.”

Here's the kicker... in his interview with Chris Wallace, right after telling Wallace that Trump wasn't under investigation, he said that Trump is under investigation

Watch the video...

(And really, watch the whole thing... it gets pretty funny watching Trump's lawyer have a meltdown on Fox)

What's amazing is if you go on Twitter and search "Wallace Sekulow" you'll see scores of Trumpites saying Wallace "got schooled".
I'm not sure which was my favorite bit, either saying Trump wasn't under investigation, then a minute later twice saying he was under investigation, or talking about "Constitutional theory" and then trying to correct Wallace by saying it's not theory it's the Constitution, before having it pointed out that was his own phrase.

I posted on Facebook something making fun of Newt Gingrich for saying that a president can't obstruct justice when he included obstruction in his own House's impeachment of Bill Clinton.

My Trumpite uncle's response to it...
"The articles of impeachment against Clinton were in regards to SWORN TESTIMONY"

My response...
"And...? They included obstruction of justice. Plain as day. Newt's ignoring history he helped make."

My uncle...
"Trump hasn't given any sworn testimony though"

I don't think he gets that since the POTUS has been impeached before for obstruction, it's quite literally impossible that the POTUS can't obstruct.

Yup, because bullshit baffles their brains and also because they live in an alternate reality. They couldn't ever admit to being wrong. Also, Wallace just lets him talk, and later on, rant, so of course that's all they hear, because they aren't really listening.

Or that he repeatedly stated his inability to read minds but later wants to show what Wallace is "trying to do here".

He somehow saved the story about the investigation. It's not directly contradictive if he was builduing his statement on a theoretical series of events which he tried to frame it as later on.

He could have presented his case easily better though. 1. Trump got no memo about being under investigation. 2. Trump's tweet is to be read as an answer to a possible series of events. 3. Trump has the right to fire Rosenstein under the constitution. No comment about any questions about what the feeling in Trump's team is about these events.

That's always the scariest thing to me. Happens with every political interview, no matter how one sided it may seem. Makes you think they don't really matter.

Brilliant. Announces he's under investigation in the first two minutes, spends the next 5 explaining he isn't under investigation and talking about his theory on mind reading, and then spends the last 2 minutes explaining that expanding legal team is there purely in preparation for or response to an investigation.

Unreal!

Jason Chaffetz: Trump is ‘almost worse’ than Obama — and Jeff Sessions is ‘worse’ than Loretta Lynch

“The reality is, sadly, I don’t see much difference between the Trump administration and the Obama administration,” Chaffetz told the conservative host. “I thought there would be this, these floodgates would open up with all the documents we wanted from the Department of State, the Department of Justice, the Pentagon.”

“In many ways, it’s almost worse because we’re getting nothing, and that’s terribly frustrating and, with all due respect, the attorney general has not changed at all,” he added. “I find him to be worse than what I saw with Loretta Lynch in terms of releasing documents and making things available. I just, that’s my experience, and that’s not what I expected.”

What the hell?! :wenger:

Rubio and Sanders.

An incredibly salient narrative runs throughout this video. Worth a watch.

Well, to twitter for me then.

 If ever I wished some information was real, it's this. Just imagine the whole WH running around like headless Chickens while Trump shouts at the TV like a demented old man. Priceless.

Maybe he thinks the people on the telly are talking to him.

Sadly I feel this might be close to the truth
