They are very sly in negotiations I think. Impressively low wage budget. You can say a lot about Glaston, but there is no denying that their club is very well organized and run.

Is it on reduced capacity, down to 50k? I dont think there is any team in europe that will fill a 90k sadium for a CL group game.
Apparently its at full 90k. http://www.skysports.com/football/n...ay-champions-league-games-to-90000-at-wembleyThe official Spurs ticketing seating-diagram now shows that no available seats are left for our first CL game at Wembley (against Monaco).
Whilst this isn't necessarily reliable, since sometimes significant blocks of tickets are held back for later sales, the Daily Mail reports that Spurs are on course to sell-out the full 82,000 tickets, which if it happens will break our all-time attendance record for a home match (75,038 for an FA Cup sixth-round tie against Sunderland in 1938).

Cheapest adult tickets working out to be £23 a game for non members might be doing the trick. Helped also by the novelty of a spurs CL game.
All said, a big statement by spurs, going all the way to full capacity. Could possibly set some sort of attendance record for CL group stages.
Tomorrow we need to start upping our performance levels, 20 minutes apart against Everton and Pakace we've been off the pace.
Not imperative that we win tomorrow but our standards definitely need to go up a notch.
I actually felt like we were pretty good for near the whole match against palace, we just weren't taking the chances we had created.Tomorrow we need to start upping our performance levels, 20 minutes apart against Everton and Pakace we've been off the pace.

Anyone else think they should have signed Mane instead of Sissosko this summer? Same position and similar price
How much is Mane on? I wouldn't have thought that the wages of someone like Mane would be out of reach for spursWages

Probably yeah. Who knows why it didn't happen, sounds like we were possibly interested.Anyone else think they should have signed Mane instead of Sissosko this summer? Same position and similar price
Depends which Sissoko we get, the Toon one will be a nightmare, the euros one will add a lot of power to our side.
He had about 30 good minutes at the Euros then was Toon Sissoko for most of the rest.
I have to give you credit regarding what you said about Son last season and his importance. Even though, I also noted his ability I did not believe he was good enough to be a regular for Spurs. After today's performance with two goals and two assists, it seems he will give Pochettino something to think about regarding his place in their front three. Even though Stoke has been poor this season and it could just be an anomoly, it was still a good performance. So, a decent start to the season becomes a good start for Spurs. We have the same points from the same fixtures as last season, but have 5 more points after Game Week 4 than we had last time around, with only 2 goals conceded so far.

Close to or more than 80,000 sold for all 3 group games of the CL, more seating still to be released for all 3 games and likely that all 3 will be full to the rafters.
Walker has signed a new contract, only Vertonghen and Lamela left to do who have 2 and 3 years respectively to have the entire first team squad on long term deals. Both are expected to be done in the next month or so.
We seem to be in decent shape as we move towards a couple of difficult years.
Great news about Walker - he has improved a lot over the past year and imo is one of the very best in his position in the league.
Eric Dier has become the latest Spurs player to sign a new contract, for 5 more years running until 2021.
It's great that the core of our young side is committing to stay, so that they can all continue to develop together.
Another good bit of business by the club, it amazes me what we can get away with paying compared to some other clubs.
What I like about it is that we give incentives for players to do well - we reward you with a better contract when you prove yourself - even if that means we give you a new contract every year, if we feel you deserve a pay rise you will get one. I think that is how we manage to start people off fairly low compared to other clubs, we have a track record of rewarding good performances (at least in past few years) so younger players in particular know that if they play well they will get a better contract.
They need a winger with pace. Don't rate Lamela.
If they'd bought Mane, he'd of been a brilliant addition on the right.
Not only that, you have the same scores (almost). This is witchcraft:We have the same points from the same fixtures as last season
How exactly does one WUM or derail the Spurs thread?
<asking for a friend>
There are times people want to actually have a discussion of the team and not just trying to bait certain posters. This thread can be a mess.
