I like the club a lot and the manager, but the fans are awfully self-righteous. I would prefer you win the F.A. cup.

I think the best scenario for me would be Arsenal winning the FA cup so Wenger stays and we get at least two years of AFTV, and spurs win the league so the Chelsea fans stop bitching about Jose and have a massive meltdown after being cocky for almost a year.

You really shouldn't generalise you know. All clubs have moronic fans and all clubs have lovely fans.

As Pochettino said ... go try your luck with Levy.

Most clubs do. Granted you receive a large transfer fee at the time but longer term I think more often than not its good value for money for the buying club.

The can say go to Levy all you like but history tells us he will sell.

There are traits found more commonly in some fanbases than others, though.

Barca have a higher proportion of fans who think their team is fighting a divine battle. Liverpool have more fans who think their club is some romantic fairy tale. United have more fans who can only name about four players. Spurs have Glaston.

The same can be said about any big club.

I think we win it. We picked up an awful lot of not overly interested fans, over a couple of decades, largely by being on terrestrial TV far more than any other club.

The same can be said about Barca and Liverpool tbh.

Its probably just Glaston tbf. I like the way he fights his corner but it is Liverpool fan-esque when the Spurs model is spoken about as the beacon of running a football club, when they have been fairly unsuccessful when you think about it.

I think we'd absolutely trash Liverpool on the casual fan front. Think they'll have a lot more than someone like Spurs but nowhere near us.

Barca I can believe though.

Anyway, I've pulled us rather off-topic here. I was only really interested in making a joke about Glaston's effect on Spurs' popularity on here...

I'd prefer Spurs to win the league than Chelsea.

Me too.

Really sad news. Best wishes for a fast recovery to him and his family.

The history of the last 9 years says he will only sell a star player if that player wants to leave, and even then only to a foreign club.

In any case, all clubs will sell star players - including United - if a big enough fee is offered.

More signs that Pochettino wants to build a dynasty at Spurs:

"When Daniel Levy called me three years ago, it really got me excited to listen to him and start a project that not only focused on winning but on leaving a legacy. We have the best training facilities in England. We have a stadium project that in a year will be ready and will be the best in London and perhaps in England. It's a club with a lot of potential. In the coming years, this Tottenham project is going to make people talk."

This is the feeling I get from Pochettino as well. I think he wants to build something here, and it doesn't seem like he is interested at jumping to for example Real Madrid or Bayern any time soon. This could obviously change, especially if the project starts goes the wrong way or something like that. But as long as we keep progressing, he seem genuinely happy to be here, and I believe he would decline opportunities from 'bigger' sides at this moment.

Another season without a trophy Spurs? It's not good enough. Something wrong at the club which is deep rooted and ingrained in their mentality.

Another historically great season for sours ends with... Nothing to show for

They forgot to defend after equalizing. Hazard had all the time to shoot there. Oh and Eriksen's corners were shit.

Bottled it

What are they going to do when they move to Wembley full time next season?

Exactly. It must be infuriating supporting them!

Times running out too. The last few seasons were a great chance to grab something, but again this summer us, chelsea & city will spunk a 150m each. Eventually that investment/money will start talking.

That ball backspinning away from the line is a perfect metaphor for Spurs as a football club.
