Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Yeah, better keep my account, that way I'll keep checking the game. Problem is really the forum and handling requests and update the lists, I really have no time for it atm.

I'm not sure how much I have in my paypal, but I can contribute with whatever change I have left there.

Btw GoranIvanisevic your inbox is full. You can apply to Plymouth if you want to.

Ridiculous that there's no option to have multiple gameworld owners/people sharing the responsibility for things like this. A lot of gameworlds will have 50+ teams in and some may be very active. Things happen in life and people might start off the gameworld not being that busy, but then as the years go by things might crop up which makes them not able to devote as much time to it.

Looks like a few squads have been part reviewed today. Was hoping to have United reviewed for tomorrow (not sure why, as Vidic and Nani will probably go down a lot) but that looks unlikely now.

Glad to see my addition of Buffon has payed off, Friedel down to 89, Ter Stegen on loan is 89 too. Zabaleta up to 91 for me in Elite league, my Santos side is going up in standard slowly but surely.

Why didn't you sell Friedel? With Buffon there and ter Stegen you've got a good situation. You could have sold Friedel for about £4M and save £40k per week on wages.

Zabaleta up 2 to 91. Hoping Shawcross gets a big increase as well.

Can't see Shawcross getting an increase now as Stoke have already been reviewed (unless he is like Jung and SW goes back and gives him a review a while later). Zabaleta going up 2 makes me a bit more optimistic of Rafael doing the same but doubt it'll happen.

Have faith Damien. We can't live in a world where Kolo Toure is rated higher than Shawcross.

Because I got greedy with his 90 rating and cup competitions.

After that match I'm a bit more pessimistic about my United first team reviews.

Thoughts:

Anderson - no change
Cleverley - +3
de Gea - no change
Nani - -2 (ideally I wouldn't want him to go down at all, but lack of game time and not being in the squad last night has probably sealed the -2)
Rafael - + 1 (think he deserves +2 to 91 but for those who vote on SW, the performance against Reading and the first half against RM will probably prevent him getting it)
Smalling - no change
van Persie - + 1
Vidic - -2

This is what happened:

Anderson - -1 :(
Cleverley - +3
de Gea - no change
Nani - -1
Rafael - + 1
Smalling - + 1
van Persie - + 1
Vidic - -1

Other players:

Amos - +2
Brown - + 1

Went better than I could expect, with Smalling going up and Vidic and Nani only going down by 1, but annoyed that Anderson went down.

I beat Derby 1-2 away. Had to use a different formation due to Lennon being unable to play left wing anymore but it seems to have worked.

Beat West Brom 4-1. Michu scored on his league debut (assisting twice and got MOTM) and Gotze continued his excellent form as striker by scoring twice. Badstuber was rested in the league for the first time this season and Rafael started in his place but picked up a minor injury.

Next up: Spurs at home. Big decision is where to play Gotze for that one.

I'm wrestling with the thought of selling Bender at the moment. I've managed to spectacularly miss out on signing after signing and i think perhaps letting Bender go would mean i'd get one or two players in, in positions which i'm currently weaker in. Then again, if i let Bender go my midfield is significantly weaker. Eh, i'm unsure.

Still, at least the team's doing well at the moment.

Beat villa 0-3.

Welbeck up to 90 as is Oscar.

That completes my rises thus far in England. It also gives me a first XI, plus subs, whom have a minimum rating of 90.

Pleased with that!

Oscar was done a bit late so, last I looked he was still 87! Sweet update for you bud.

Wednesday has got a decent lead over second.

Division 3 table update:

Darlington's first loss of the season puts them second.

Division 4 table update:

Despite Port Vale's poor form over the last few games, they're still top of the table on goal difference.

Only just seen my result from last night, 5-0 win over Burnley to open up a 5 point lead at the top. 4 goals from Osvaldo, he's on fire this season.

Not impressed with the offer I had for Mangala, Arruda says he is worth £25m and I'm getting offered £6m? Not having that I'm afraid!

So much for your difficult run of fixtures being over a few games ago RedSky! :D

Happy with the win against Fulham to take me back to the top...

Hopeful for a win against Swansea, to boost the old goal difference...

Although games against unmanaged teams are when I traditionally struggle like feck...

Thanks to this morning risers, my squad value now exceeds 200m. Which puts me 3rd highest in Div2, 6m behind Stoke and a massive 89m behind Reading!

The below does NOT take into account Balance Value. It's Total Squad Value (including Loan players).

I assume that Ando deal is off then Damo

So your De Gea compromise is no longer on the table. A sad day for Manchester United, its reputation tarnished yet further after the De Gea fiasco last season.

I thought you wouldn't want him anymore after he went down!

I'm still planning to make it up to you. Just need to be able to speak to you on SM.

One day I'll log into this and there won't be a bid for Falcao of £1 mil plus two thirty one year old 89 rated donkeys waiting for me.

My biggest fear in life has become accidentally clicking the accept button when I'm on my phone.

Viva Ronaldo
Viva Ronaldo
Plays at Stamford Bridge
Thanks Abramovich

Very good transfer... annoyingly. Gives you a bit of an advantage in the title race.

I gave you a pretty good offer a while back.

Yeah, been trying for a while to get him...as have you I believe...

Iniesta was a big loss really, didn't want to let him go, but getting Ronaldo guarantees you goals.

I can get a replacement winger I feel (that's where Iniesta operated)...but Gomez never really hit the heights for me...

Was good to get Toure in as well, added a bit of steel to midfield...cost me Ivanovic, but brought in Rio for a short term fix until I can strengthen my back 3...

My big squad was the downfall in my attempts to sign him. My chairman would only let me put in a bid adding up to around £80M whereas I hear yours let you put one in up to around £100M. Best offer I could have put down was De Rossi, van Persie and £9M, but without my chairman I'd have been able to put one in with Vidic or possibly Ramos instead of De Rossi.

£100m was the cash only offer limit, in the end, it worked out about £85m in cash terms, which was the maximum I could do part exchange...

I've always found a first team limited to about 25 works best...in my own game world, which I've been playing since 2008, we have self imposed squad limits of 25 first team, and 15 youth, this stops player hoarding which was a problem because it stifled the transfer market as nobody was selling...

It makes you think more about your squad, rather than just signing everyone you can...if you want a new player, you have to let one go, makes it a bit more realistic, and really helped the transfer market...

I've still got the screenshots of my attempted bids:

and with Vidic it was just a couple of mill over, but I didn't screenshot that. If some sort of deal was agreed before RvP rose, the RvP/Ramos bid would have worked and so would the RvP/Vidic one.

Yeah, I'm working with a 25 man squad limit on my first team. For the youths I'm definitely planning on cutting down but for the first few months I wanted to give myself a bit of a cash boost to get funds so invested in some risers and players that would be here for the long haul. Quite a few of the players have risen so they'll be gone when their TBs end and I'm unlikely to bring anyone else in. In terms of youths I've got good depth (especially at LB).

I can never be arsed with signing risers, too much hard work scouting...

I like to have 2 teams who are capable of challenging (1 league team, and a cup team)...at the moment, my chelsea first XI is strong, but my 2nd string is weak as feck...hence me not expecting an extended cup run...

My cup XI is a bit off, but my first XI seem to be doing quite well despite not being the strongest.

First XI:

de Gea (90)

Ramos (95) Vidic (95) Bastuber (91)

Nani (92) Gotze (93) De Rossi (94) Eriksen (90) Ozil (94)

van Persie (95) Messi (99)

Cup XI:

de Gea (90)

Rafael (90) Smalling (89) Aurier (87)

Wijnaldum (88) Coutinho (88) Bender (90) Canales (87) Sandro (87)

Castillo (81) Sararer (84)

Can't see me going much further in the shield but in a few seasons time it should hopefully be strong enough. Next season I'll be able to play Michu in them for a start.
